I picked mine up two weeks ago after an 18 month wait so there’s hope for all of us. Absolutely love it and the AD added me to the wait list for the new GMT and Daytona.

Sold within an hour, according to their Instagram...

Doesn’t surprise me as the cheapest 2018 I’ve seen is just under £12k...

There’s a 2012 at Chisholm Hunter for £10,500

This is mental. I paid 6,600 for a 2015 last year and there were loads on Chrono 24 at that price. What has happened in the last year -have they discovered the dial is made of emeralds?

Just my experience. Less than 10 month wait and going from when I was told I was #2 on the list, they're getting one every couple of months.

Picked my Hulk up today. A nice surprise as I wasn’t expecting it for a few months. Waited less than a year so not bad. Beautiful piece. The AD has kept the warranty card for a year and removed the stickers which is a new one on me.

Congrats to the recent new Hulk owners. My name is down at my local AD since the weekend just gone so now I'm also playing the waiting game. Fingers crossed.

All the big chain AD's owned by Aurum Group have been operating that policy for about 12 months now.

In an effort to improve my chances I went to a second local AD yesterday to add my name to, but unfortunately they told me they've 'closed their book' for the LV. Shame.

I’d been thinking of selling my hulk but having just seen this thread I think I’ll hold on to it! eek

I had absolutely no idea they were fetching this kind of money now, I thought maybe £6k and a nice little profit from the £4800 I paid when they first came out!

That being said, after wearing it every day for the last 8 years it’s looking rather tired and has now been retired to the safe after some scumbag tried to have it off my wrist in Nice. mad

Good luck if you’re hunting for one, they’re nice watches but they do attract attention (weirdly from Chinese people in airports!).

I bought mine for a shade under 4k in 2012. That was 20% off. High street AD. I did also buy two other less desirable watches at the same time, also at 20% off.

The current rolex hysteria is just bonkers.

My name is on the list at Goldsmith’s in the Bullring, I went in yesterday to send off my no date to be regulated, at which point I asked where I was on the list - the sales rep said that she couldn’t check the list as it was a manager’s responsibility (dunno why she couldn’t ask the gaffer, but what do I know...) but she said that store only gets a couple per year, I’m not holding out much hope.

is this rate of supply the norm, or shall I start snooping round other ADs? I put my name down at this one because it’s where I’ve spent money in the past, loyalty etc, wherever that gets us these days

When will people accept that there IS NO LIST ! lol. None whatsoever.

A watch comes in and the dealer calls his favourite, or the guy standing in front of him with cash, or the guy who bought a 20k Datejust bling fest . Whoever, but there is no list.

Quite frankly Rolex have become total wkers in the last couple of years.

Me,? I fancy an Orient Bambino with the green face lol.

I think this is probably true - I was in Watches of Switzerland a month ago looking at something completely different and happened to mention how much I would love a Sea-Dweller 50th Anniversary. Last week I got the call and, when I picked it up, the salesman inferred that it was my enthusiasm for the watch that meant I got it so quickly. Who knows if that's true, but not appearing to be a flipper seemed to help?

Put my name down about 3 weeks ago with my AD, got the call Tuesday saying they got me one and I picked it up Saturday morning. Worth pointing out this is my 6th watch from that dealer (BLNR on the table is mine), not a mega customer but apparently enough to be invited to 'special' dinners and get these models more or less on demand. It's unfortunate that it's got to this point regarding sports models and I hope some of you get lucky enough to get a dealer that'll take a punt on a new (but genuine) buyer!

Coming back through Bahrain airport last Jan, they had Deep Seas, BLNRs and the green one.

Was this Just a one in a million chance, or does the FOMO demand predominantly affect the British?

My AD has a list, a fairly well kept and organised one at that. The story goes that they got one in during their most recent 'delivery' and given I mentioned wanting one on my last visit, I got one.

I think in a lot of cases it's those without the oh-so important 'buying history' who walk in and get put on 'the list', only to never hear anything again. Not in all instances but some I'm sure.

It's fun to watch everyone get very ratty about it though!
