See above for proof of no list.
I’ll yield to this proof. I was told at my local AD that if I bought the £19k yachtmaster I was drooling over I’d be moved up the ‘list’ I mentioned a few posts ago, but then the above image rather proves that it’s seller’s choice, and after only one purchase, I haven’t earned my hulk yet.Don’t know why I expected any different tbh...
I have had an offer for any sports rolex I like from a £12 an hour sales guy. Depending on which model I desire, I have to give a brown envelope of varying thickness..
Quite brazen but you can't blame the sales guys tbh. If joe punter has the potential to make many thousands on reselling a daytona, for example, why wouldn't they want a slice of the action. Obviously, I don't agree and didn't participate in the offer. Dude has also been sacked recently but the whole sales floor is/was at it. This is at one of the larger rolex accounts. Probably too big for rolex to pull.

If this is true, anyone paying are as bad as the sales men taking bribes.Quite brazen but you can't blame the sales guys tbh. I agree completely, but I would possibly argue that it’s no worse than paying the silly figures for such watches from third party dealers - and this way you can, at least, guarantee its credentials...Not that I would, of course, because then I couldn’t moan about it!

I went into the same shop that supplied mine last week, just over a year ago, enquiring about a Daytona, and was left in no doubt that the 'list' was closed. Don’t know why I expected any different tbh...
That wasn't my experience this time, they told me to make sure I let them know if I wanted anything else in future and it was the same sales staff. Having said that, I'm not surprised that all dealers are different, I don't suppose their head office care who they sell to. Perhaps I just went in when they were in a good mood!

Maybe you’ve missed the seemingly enormous change in Rolex’s sales - SS Rolex are now rare items due to production/supply and wait times are huge. A mate tried to buy a Date Sub recently and was told 2years was a likely worst time, it’s just gone nuts.
I didn’t think the ‘standard’ sports models were THAT sought after, I waited just 6 days for my no date 18 months ago (reckon I got lucky, but still) but when I showed mine and asked for repair the shop bod changed mannerism completely and became ‘yes sir, no sir, would you like a drink sir’ and offered numerous precious metals to try on. Still didn’t get me any further up this hulk list though

He needs to try a different shop, I've been offered 2 sub dates in the last 6 months by the same store. I went in to the store and when speaking to the salesman, said I wanted one for my birthday next year and that the waiting list was 12months + the salesman said, yes it can be quite a wait......... but i will phone you when one becomes available and turns out its not that long at all. also this is a shop I have never bought anything from before, I can definitely see that known customers will easily be looked after even quicker.
