Lest it be thought that I am anti-Rolex, I'd happily have this on my wrist (spotted in a Brighton shop window a couple of months back for around £2800).

sorry about pic orientation
Note that watch is a 'Date' not a 'Datejust'. Smaller and therefore less desirable. Good as a ladies watch though or for those with small wrists / who prefer a smaller watch.
I’m 6’3” and I weigh 17 stones and I’m wearing a Date as I write this.

Don’t confuse your opinion with fact.
It is a Date not a Datejust. Fact.
It is smaller than a Datejust. Fact.
Date models are less desirable than Datejusts. Fact.

Because they are smaller than some of the larger models it therefore follows they will be good for people who prefer smaller watches. Such as ladies or those with smaller wrists. Another fact.

You like your Date. That is an opinion (and a fact).

It's hard to get too excited about this, but unless everyone without exception 'desires' a Datejust over a Date, which I know they don't (because I don't), then your third 'fact' is actually an opinion.

That's an opinion. Ladies and/or people with smaller wrists might prefer smaller watches. They might prefer larger watches. Men and/or people with larger wrists might prefer larger watches. Equally they might prefer smaller watches. There is no fact that says somebody with an X-sized wrist will prefer an X-sized watch.

Some people really will argue about anything!

It's one of the smaller Rolexes and it therefore follows it will appeal more to people with smaller wrists. It's often described as a unisex watch. It's a fairly niche model which appeals to people who like smaller cases - the trend is obviously for large models..

I'm not suggesting people with larger wrists can't wear it, or that there is some sort of rule which dictates size of watch needs to be directly proportionate to a person's wrist.

I like it, but would consider it too small for me. That's all!

Lord knows I'm not into pointless arguments but you should know by now that PHers will always pick other PHers up on 'facts' that aren't! wink

I’m considering buying a fake Rolex strap. The original is so delicate (principally about the end links) and they’re not available new. Because it was shared with early Cosmographs asking prices for used, and inferior to mine, pieces are comically higher than the complete watch is worth.

Copies are solid and far stronger, and cost under $100 - it doesn’t take much thinking about. It’s a shame that they can’t to me an 18mm Speedmaster bracelet too.

I will probably buy a replacement 18mm Speedmaster bracelet if I can find one too.

Having worked with a company that had very prominent global brands.

Even they have a limited amount of resources to order "cease and desist" on knock off's.

They picked their battles very carefully - and won. Every time.

You cannot fight all knock off's all of the time.
