Lovely watches. Really getting the feeling for a Pacific Waterman Bronze, how do they wear/patinate?
My rust patination is coming along nicely:

Ah now that blue looks a lot better than it did it some earlier shots.

Looking great with the patination

Think you’ve gone to the wrong type of service centre...

Red to pick out the second hand would look better IMO.

I agree about the blue hands. New strap on the '45. Love that Stowa.

Didn’t want to take anything I’d be sorry about bashing or losing, so this came out of the bottom drawer. Bought a few years ago for £15 on the Bay. Waterproof to 30m. Dead easy to read underwater and took a bashing from some quite unusually heavy Mediterranean waves. Really comfortable but suspect the strap will only weather a few breaks before needing replacement. Lovely lume at the press of the winder too. In summary; very pleasantly surprised.

Lovely. An iconic watch.

I’m so getting one of these, as my one after my next watch.

What’s an X71?

X71 is the SS bracelet. They come with the sailcloth strap as standard.

Ah ok. I was looking at buying a used one and obviously was only looking at ones that came with the bracelet.

Do you find it a big watch? Although it’s 45mm, It never seems to looks huge when compared to a submariner or a deep sea etc?
