Ooft. Does the moonphase add much thickness over the regular watch? I'm wearing mine right now actually, they're really wonderful watches.
Not sure. It's about 1 cm in height, maybe 1.1. The moon phase window actually contains a day/night indicator too (in case one can't tell lol); it's an ingenious bit of kit.

I think this is the first time on here I’ve seen an example where someone should be wearing a railmaster?

LOL. I have toyed with the idea of a Railmaster - but I bought a Speedy instead. Steam engines and decent watches really don't go together... smile

It’s a speedy reduced kinda day.
That's lovely. I've never owned a Speedmaster, but love a Chrono (Have a S/S Daytona and Seiko 6139-Pogue). What advice would you give me on buying my first 'Speedy' there seem to be so many models to choose from.

Damasko DA44 on a Hirsch strap.

Don't usually take this one into the office, but I enjoyed wearing it so much yesterday, it had to stay on...

I've had 3 Speedmasters, for me the 42mm moon watch is the one to go for, a classic watch and there cannot be a more iconic watch than one that went to the moon, within that range there are loads to choose from in terms of dial type/limited editions/straps/bracelet etc...so it's then just a matter of personal taste and wallet size.

If the Moonwatch is a bit big the First Omega in Space is a nice alternative. I really like mine.

To be honest even the Citizen is too nice for the footplate! - You need a really st watch for that sort of stuff. I speak from experience.

Posted this in the watches under £200 section. Made this myself, starting with a knackered Seiko SNLK09 and a new NH35 movement.
