Intrigued by these. Might have to get one to satisfy my curiosity.
Brief review.

It's 40mm but 'wears' a bit smaller, as the strap is 18mm at the lugs.
It's a nice looker on a leather strap (IMO).
The movement is running 35 secs / 24 hrs fast.
It has Russian writing on the face and caseback which makes it effortlessly cool.
The crown is really wobbly when unscrewed which doesn't inspire confidence, but is works fine.
The acrylic lens is perfectly good. The nickel-coated brass bezel is a bit weird but looks OK.

For €50 shipped it is the Bargain of the Millenium (IMO).

I fell into learning about Vostoks recently. I bought one for my Brother in law for his birthday as he likes curious things.
This one has a 24hr movement. Nice for $76 !

Trouble is, I can't stop thinking about buying myself one, so whilst it's not on my wrist right now, might be by the end of 2019

Arrived earlier today, Seiko's SBBN031 "Tuna".

SBBN031 by CardSharkLotus

Why oh why oh why oh why (oh why oh why etc etc...) hadn't I tried a Tuna before? Bcensoredy love it! It has huge character cool

Due to the extremely short lugs it wears very well considering its size (48mm wide, 14.7mm tall, 22mm lug), the lume is typical Seiko diver i.e. nuclear, the crown and bezel operation are fantastic and the flat vent strap works so well I don't think I'll bother with the bracelet, not yet anyway. The DiaShield finish should counter my occasional clumsy oafishness and despite the fact that this model is very much the junior of the range I don't feel short-changed. It's also my first Seiko with a Kanji date wheel, it's set to English in the 'photo above however that'll be changed to the watch's native language.

Have a read here for a brief write-up on how Seiko's "Tunas" came into being.

Did I say I bcensoredy love it?

Nice one CS... Although I've never really clicked with Seiko's in general (bar one or two) I can certainly see the appeal - great watch with a personality, like it.

Cheers, Andy smile

Part of the appreciation for the watch is due to its lineage, that it's a direct descendant from the 6159-7010, a watch that was designed and built to solve a particular problem. It was no slave to fashion, it only had function at the forefront of its design brief. Granted, the model I have is quartz, only(!) 300m rated and isn't what some may call a proper Tuna in that it doesn't have the front loading monocoque case however I'm still happy.

I can see myself trying one of its higher spec'd relations later in the year given how well the introduction has gone with this one.

I’m rather clueless to this kind of thing, what happens from a legal (ie not moral) standpoint if you just ‘forget’ to pay?

Don't know. I queried a £12 processing fee which they've since waived. Just leaves the £59 for me to pay now.

bazza.
