Newmark arrived today. Very pleased with it. Strap is very comfortable. Picture doesn't do it justice.

I put mine straight onto the Cordura strap, I didn't even try the watch on with the Admiralty Grey NATO that it came fitted with! [url=https://flic.kr/p/QHNV2M]
I was reading the Newmark thread on MWR (as mentioned in andy_s' post) yesterday, I wasn't aware of the issues Ewan had in getting the project off the ground.

Yes. I've just read the MWR thread. In my opinion he has made the right decisions. He has produced an excellent time piece and I sincerely hope he continues forwards from here. My congratulations to him. The cordura is nice!I was reading the Newmark thread on MWR (as mentioned in andy_s' post) yesterday, I wasn't aware of the issues Ewan had in getting the project off the ground.

Explorer II is growing on me. When I bought my 214270 I really didn't like them, but I really quite fancy one now.
I picked this one up nearly 7 years ago, courtesy of our own Dominic Hackett. It doesn't really get worn enough, no idea why, but I've recently turned down two reasonable offers for it as I know I'd miss it. Also, it would also leave a gap in my little collection as it's my only white faced one. They're still a relatively affordable watch from Rolex, certainly compared to the GMT models.
I've successfully completed my exploring with it today, both the newsagent and the Post Office have been found safe and well.
