That’s nice. I like these Panerai.

I kind of dismissed them years ago as fleeting fashion watches but they’re still here making great watches. I definitely want one.
As long as you don’t pay full whack, they’re a great watch for the money imho. Got the 423 myself and paid just under £5k for it rather than £8k that the rip of high street have them at.
Yes I saw a lovely radiomir second hand with a power reserve in a shop window recently. It really stood out and had a big discount.

I don’t really know the models though. It seems quite a complex naming system they have, to me anyway.

They used to just all be similar with a crown guard and some had a date. Now they’re all sorts of sizes and shapes with all kinds of complications.

Did you get that discount on a new watch?

I paid full price for it back in April 2010, think was about £3550 at that time there was only 11 a year
Sent out to UK dealers as this is the titanium model and everyone wanted the steel model back then.
Its took some 9 years but I should be able to get my money back for it now if I was to sell

To me its everything a Panerai should be, Manual wind ,Sandwich dial ,Small Seconds dial
Cant see the point of an Auto Panerai what's point of having that big crown if you don't get
To wind it every other day or so

I've had 2 Radiomir models the 190 8 day and 292 ceramic but have always liked this more

I did have a favourite , an A. Lange & Söhne, (I assume) a Lange 1 model, with a blue dial. This is a make I have not come across before, but the entire thread came as an education to me . I really like the face of the watch I mention, that blue seems so correct . As to whether I would like it so much in the real world , I'm unsure. I like very low profile cases , so it could be a bit chunky...
I have one of those! It's very slim indeed, and sits really low on the wrist. I'm wearing it right now in fact!

I only have one chronograph, an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Everything else is quite simple, right up to the Credor Eichi II which is one of the simplest and cleanest watches of all!
I thought the username rang a bell, yes it was yourself wh posted images of your Lange, way back in this thread. Interesting to hear thats its a slim case, shall have to take steps to get hands on an example.

The sun is out here in Rostock, as is my Prospex Dawn Grey, on its new custom Kastantona canvas strap.

Mine was a 2013 model which is roughly when they came out with that particular model I think. Bought it from a watch dealer on the main uk watch sites, haggled and bought for just under £5k in March 2018 after having tried them on and viewed in Watches of Switzerland but the discounts weren’t to be had as from new that I wanted.

It’s the luminor model with the sandwich dial, manual wind with 3 day reserve. Love it and may sell one day as I’ve got my eye on a Rolex submariner next.

Yep I thought the same too and ended up buying a used PAM115 recently.
Attracted to the history of the brand and the fact that its a left hand drive version.

Always thought 44mm would be too big for me - but am loving it !

Here are the others I used to have , The Black one I never got on with as I felt it looked cheap
and plastic like but the 190 8 day was really nice

I have a fleeting want for a Panerai that comes and goes, I really like the design and think there is something classic about them. But I think they just don’t suit me, I’ve tried a few on and never really gelled frown

An old 'photo however it has been the 6BB all weekend.

Newmark 6BB by CardSharkLotus

The "71" will be launched on Kickstarter in a few weeks, I'm considering the all blue version however I'm not sure on which bezel type I'd choose.

This, having changed the strap last week:

The one that it came on was hard rubber and not very comfortable, consequently i didn't wear it much. So in a Fisher Price moment, I changed it for My First NATO:

The case itself it already very thick at 16mm and quite heavy too. So whilst a NATO suits it, the extra material underneath the case means it sits even more proud of your wrist, so you've got do do the strap up quite tight or it feels like you've got a dumbbell hanging from your wrist by a spring.

I don't think I've seen a less legible watch. What on earth is it?

It's an Undone:

https://www.undone.com/

The idea is that you create your own in terms of case / face / hands / bezel colour etc. Mine looked a bit more legible on the online customiser!

As it is, the fact the you can barely read it in certain lights has become my favourite thing about it.
