I wore a Breitling Aerospace every day for 15 years and it fared better than the Tudor did over 3 years...
I prefer the look of the Tudor
Black bay as I like the classic style but It will get hammered all the same!

Sub, every day since new.

I worked offshore, then in power stations, it went diving , worked on motors, down rabbit holes and has been inside crica 120 deer.

It's a watch, wear it.

Have to say mind, the sub has been the toughest watch I've owned.

I don't wear, for example, either of my Grand Seikos when doing anything car/DIY/fitness related, likewise I don't wear any of my Gs if I'm out at a posh restaurant. For me it's a horses for courses kind of thing, that and I've got what I'd consider to be a reasonable sum of money tied up in a number of watches and I don't want to expose them to unnecessary risk.

my omega planet ocean gets worn all the time. I often realise after the fact that I should have taken it off. My last IWC got the same treatment and was looking a little used. Before i sold it I had it serviced and it came back looking like new.

My vintage Seiko Divers I'll wear whatever I'm doing unless painting or working on my classic, then its a 2 second job to remove and set aside. The Sea-Dweller lives a sheltered life by contrast....

I wear my Daytona every day no matter what I'm doing. The scratches are memories. It's a SS though I would not wear a soft metal every day.

I wear my IWC rattrapante GWC all the time - and have done so for the 14 years I've owned it. Sent it back to IWC every 4 years for a service (twice requiring a new glass) and last time (3 years ago) I splashed out and got them to re-blast the titanium casing - it came back looking like new.

It doesn't get the abuse my old g-shock got, but it's not mlyy-coddled. I do remove it if grinding/drilling or any hammering - and of course the tight spaces and were live power is around, but otherwise it stays on my wrist except at night.

Got to use it an enjoy it!

I wear my Daytona as often as possible, but for fixing helicopters I sensibly put on my G-Shock, and if it's a very tight space I'm in, I take that off. There's nothing macho about scratching a watch at work, for me.
I think Im more interested to hear about the wearer who doesn't care about scratches and wear, as I believe that is what years ago the manufacturers intended us to do .
I’m a Rolex fanboy, so there’s always one type or other on my wrist everyday regardless of where I am or what I’m doing, so scratches and dings are inevitable. They then get serviced and cleaned up by Rolex every now and then and come back like new.

My Tudor Pelagos is my 'beater'. Black Bay Steel and gold for a 'good watch'.

I don't wear a mechanical watch when doing stuff like cutting wood or playing drums.

Also am a bit careful what I wear on industrial sites as we've seen a few deglovings. But that just means picking a diving /expandable strap rather than bracelet.

Seriously, there are areas in aircraft where my watch won’t fit if it’s on my wrist, so then I’d have to take it off. A £12k-ish watch laying around would be too tempting for some.

I have a TT sub, Batman and Hulk and they get dairly wear regardless of where I am. Sometimes that involves getting a bit mucky but nothing too serious, these things are made to be worn right?

The only watch I don't tend to daily wear is my Milgauss, only really because the lack of ceramic but that's me being a bit precious I suppose.

Work or play my Explorer 16570 is on my wrist, its a very comfortable watch to wear and it gets no attention which suits me fine.

Just wondering how many of you wear your expensive watches regardless of what you are doing
I wear a Patek, regardless of what I'm doing.

If I were to tackle a job that required me to put my hand/forearm into an engine or something, then I'd put it in my pocket rather than deliberately scratch it. But sure, banging in nails, gardening etc Never take it off.

Not worried about being mugged as it looks like a £10 Timex. However, I wouldn't travel abroad with it - I never think high heat is good for watch, so wear a relatively cheap watch when going somewhere hot and sunny.

I wore my Rolex datejust constantly for the 20 years or so I was a fibrous plasterer even though I was continually dipping my hands into tubs of plaster of Paris and reaching behind ceilings etc.
It used to get scratched up a bit but servicing sorted this out and people always assumed it must be a fake which suited me tbh.

Feeling flush at the time in Dec 95 i bought a pair of his and hers matching Rolex yellow gold date just's which we've both worn every day since, but as much as I've certainly enjoyed owning them the costs of insuring, servicing and repairing them over the years leads me to feel i wouldn't do it again....

I wear a Rolex Hulk every day because it's hard as nails. Have bashed it many times and it shrugs pretty much everything off.

When I wear a vintage or precious metal watch I feel much more conscious of it, but I can't see the point of babying a steel sports watch.
