Whatever you do, don't go to the doo wearing a ceramic submariner. They are not allowed in AD's and you will be stopped at the door.

PS. My last post was tongue in cheek. Here's a smiley to prove it smile (though I still wouldn't go).

Build up a good relationship with your AD over many years, spend a few quid with them??
Done that (albeit quite quickly), have a SS sports Rolex and another on the way. Would be nice to have the opportunity to turn the invitation down lol.

With the greatest respect i think to get asked to go to functions i think you would have to have bought a few more than two watches.

I wouldn't expect anyone to be surprised an interest in watches and also in cars is not unusual at all. Quite the opposite, I'd say.

Think I had only bought two when I was first invited.

Yeah but given your buying history you lead a charmed life in the world of watches. Naturally I'm dead envious lol.
