I bought one (two actually as the first was a snide so got a refund) and was shocked how small it is, almost like a child's watch. I do normally wear chunky watches but it looks silly on my wrist. My trusty Traser has started to play up after 10yrs of abuse so found myself watchless and about to go on holiday.
Bought the above in duty free at the airport but paid what they cost anywhere else as duty free is a con as we know (£125).
Anyway. It's nothing too special but I like it!!
Oh and it costs £25 less than it'll cost to get my Traser fixed. I like it but £150 to get it going a bit is steep to me
Anyone interested in a 1 owner slightly used Traser??

You won't go wrong with that, fits your brief a treat..although it's quite large at 46mm? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000VE5X4S/

I’ve got a Sekonda like this https://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/d/4017641/sekon... which was on offer at £30 which has been brilliant for holiday and gardening duty.
Keeps perfect time, and still looks like new, despite going in the sea and swimming pools for the last couple of hours.

just saw this. It is around 44mm end to end but really strangely it doesnt feel large at all. I have in the past tried 43-44mm normal watch and it was too big but this one for some reason doesnt feel as big (maybe because the screen itself is not too big).Edited by cbmotorsport on Friday 2nd August 13:23
I like it quite a bit but two gripes. It was only £40 so i will keep it...
1. I cant seem to find instructions on how to change date format to dd/mm rather than mm/dd. looked in manual but couldnt see anything...
2. When using dual time set-up it shows current time and time in other location all ok. But the date on screen follows the secondary time i.e. if i set time in London and secondary time as Australia. the date follows Australian time..manual seems to confirm this so not possible to change it...

Why is it better than other watches for going abroad?UnclePat said:
As regards a great holiday watch, this deal is something I did last summer (although it was only £50 then, whereas it's £65 now): https://divernet.com/product/12-issues-of-diver-fo...
Basically, £65 all-in buys you 12 paper copies of 'Diver' Magazine delivered to your door, plus a 'free' gift by way of an Apeks quartz dive watch on a rubber strap. If you have a cursory interest in diving, it's a compelling deal.
The watch is actually good - a Seiko quartz engine, in a casing that I suspect is Citizen. Apeks is a brand that you'll find in Dive shops, sold as a diving watch.
Good fun, and being analogue with a timing bezel, plus day & date function, it fulfills the poolside beater role nicely but with a little more class than a G-Shock (in my opinion).
Other than that, an Orient Mako is a bit over budget at circa £150 on Amazon (or around £110 on Creation, if you get away without VAT charges) and provides a really compelling, 'in-house' mechanical option on bracelet, but looks classy enough to dress up at dinner in the evening. It's been my go-to holiday watch for six years, and going away with me again this week. Oddly enough, also the watch I own that receives the most comments - possibly on account of the terrific electric-blue dial.
Just seen this thread and ordered the Apeks watch. With the Magazine's!
Thanks
I’ve had this one for a couple of years for holidays. Survived the pool, water park and sun lotion with no issues, and keeps perfect time.
Always seems to be on sale, and for under £30 it’s been a good buy
