Nice to see Dario Franchitti wearing an Explorer II in the Gordon Murray T50 signoff video today.

Looked down at my wrist with a bit more pride and though, good choice Dario.
This was some time after you’d started on the wine, I take it?

I was at Heathrow on Monday. Walked into 'Rolex' (WoS) and the bloke could not have been more rude (which is fine just interesting)

I was polite, pointed out I had spent 100k plus on Rolex recently therefore did he want to look me up on his system and at least lie or make some kind of show of discussing lists.

Nope none of it...

I took his name and will mention it to a friend of mine who is good friends with the CEO of WoS when I have dinner with him next week.

Appalling individual and 'experience'
The satire in this thread. Better and better
Don't you know who I am! Not good on either side.

To add balance, I too was at LHR recently and despite not having spent quite as much as you they did type my details into their system and suggest they could supply a couple of different pieces…

LHR T5 on Monday, only person in the shop at 1pm or so, the lady was falling over herself to get me to try something on but I was on my way to pick up my recent, misguided purchases (Tudor Subs).

Not to everyone's taste then; I do like my 40mm version with black dial. No wine here tonight sadly, just man flu.

I like the watch well enough, just found the story a bit odd.

Feel better!

No excuse for him to be rude of course but....if he hasn't any watches to sell and has hundreds maybe thousands already registered per reference what's the point in him looking you up?

Also, you are only allowed to be registered at one WOS group outlet. Assuming you are already registered at the branch where you just spent £100k you can't register with him anyway
Exactly.

And Luis at Heathrow is a charming chap. Odd post.

Ha- how long did you deliberate about how to let us all know you knew his name?

One of the few ADs I have (inadvertently) got to know over the years as I travel via LHR a fair bit.

No cuppys though.

You aren't allowed to get to know ADs on this thread wink

Next time we expect your interaction with him to be purely transactional

Thats not good.

Whenever we are in collecting something there is always a glass of champagne or for myself a cup of tea as I am teetotal.

I wouldn't post any of the staff names up here though; it looks a bit 'trying too hard'. wink

Of course...its incredible the amount of people whom care so little about PH perception feel the need to come onto PH and post about how little they care about PH perception.

I really would have no interest and I'm certainly not concerned, but to defend yourself from a post where you tried to impress the PH masses that backfired, you brought up something I mentioned in a post to look smart then followed it up with your above post....rolleyes
