Well if I had any doubts before the last few pages have convinced me that it's time to sell all my Rolex's and buy a few more less desirable watches wink

Just checked the calendar it’s a year since I was interviewed / assessed / expressed an interest for a Polar Explorer, a watch I’ve fancied for a while as I’d love a GMT watch. Will my phone ever ring? Who knows, my sub date is the perfect do it all watch which just looks right in every situation so should I continue to wait or think sod it and use the 8 grand on something else…….

Very true, grey is circa 9.5-10 k for a new one but I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying via that route. It’s new or nothing for me personally but I fully understand others may feel differently.

Just had a look on watch collecting and a 2022 Sub no date went for £9000 + fees.

There must be a growing list of models that a dealer wouldn’t offer RRP on now.

Interesting; based on your specified indeterminate article, the correct pronunciation appears to be "haitch - neck".

Every day's a school day.

Yup, plenty of models now get offers of below rrp from dealers, if they even make an offer at all.

That's nice work. Boastful and cringey at the same time, not always an easy combo to pull off.

Thanks! I have to say it took me a bit to think what to put for the best results, but looks like it worked.
