If you want a horrible bi metal one, yes. The one I bought has a waiting list and was trading at 10% over list when I last was arsed to check. That was the blue dial, jubilee, white gold bezel. So just the ones that you like then.As I said, DJ's are available. The Bi metals are by far the best looking models as well. The freakish Blue dial versions are thankfully rare

And I think a dealer on Chrono24 has one for £5500.

My brother wanted one similar but with the fluted bezel. He’s not very internet savvy and probably suspicious of sending that much online! However this is Goldsmiths’s in Nottingham before Christmas.

He goes to New York shopping before Xmas and said he couldn’t find the one he wanted out there this year. He bought one in Cardiff at the same place he got his Milgauss. They managed to get a blue one and a grey one in that someone else apparently got first dibs on. They chose the grey one so my brother had the blue.
I’m probably sceptical that the whole “first dibs” thing was probably sales bulls
t. its been an interesting 6 months for the market as a whole and whilst many are speculating that the boom is over there are a number of factors that have affected the market in that period..
in the UK there has clearly been much uncertainty politically and it does not take much to make people 'postpone' a large purchase ....that now seems to have eased with the election but 1st/2nd week of January will be an interesting barometer...as is the stock market mini surge week before Christmas...
what is hitting the market to a far greater extent is the ongoing troubles in Hong Kong which show little signs of dissipating or returning to normal in the short term....visitor numbers down 43% sales down 25%...and its a massive market for luxury goods...
why does this make any difference to us in the UK / Rolex values i hear you ask ? well HK is the biggest market for swiss watches in the world bigger than USA / China / Japan / UK in fact its twice the size of UK market and its getting battered by the troubles....
to put it in perspective HK has 30 Rolex dealers in less space(1100 sqkm) than London (1500 sqkm) which has 15
as a result retailers in HK are well slashing prices to shift stock to just keep cashflow going to stay in business (must be awful day in day out) this in turn affects Global asking prices hence the short term correction....check out Chrono24 for HK asking prices...
what it has seemingly also meant is a re-distribution of some production volume to markets that are more buoyant than HK and hence there is somewhat slightly improved availability...

Times they are a changing.
