Yes, makes me cringe when people say they will sell their watch collection because somebody they've never heard of 'flexed' one on Instagram.
For the benefit of an oldie - what does "flex" mean in this context? Serious question - I have only just got used to gay not meaning happy.^I’ve just made those up on the spot but that would be a typically sort of thing- it wouldn’t surprise me if those tags have hundreds of thousands of posts.
Flexing is basically just arrogantly showing something off.

Yes correct, with a whole range of related hashtags such as #rolex #newrolex #richlifestyle #workhardplayhard #wristwear

I’d have thought that would sort of thing would put most people off, but maybe not. It’s a shame, I always thought of Rolex as quite a conservative, sober choice, but it all seems to be going a bit rappy blingy.^I’ve just made those up on the spot but that would be a typically sort of thing- it wouldn’t surprise me if those tags have hundreds of thousands of posts.

I’ve pointed out before that in all the years I’ve worn rolexes, I have noticed little to no attention shown to them other than from the odd shop assistant when trying on other watches, so I am surprised by all of the attention they apparently draw now.

I just bought a no date Sub without any hassle, no waiting list and no drama just a pleasant experience, I didn't know and cannot understand why someone would pay so much to but it through Watchfinder etc. It wasn't 'cheap' to begin with.
I have no plans to sell it I'm delighted and there are nice AD out there I guess you have to be lucky to find them.
Agree. I was lucky enough to pick up a Pepsi. Walked into the showroom, gave a firm handshake and a wink and 30 minutes later was walking out with a Pepsi on my wrist. No wait list, no arse lickingI have no plans to sell it I'm delighted and there are nice AD out there I guess you have to be lucky to find them.
They've promised me a panda Daytona within the next 3 months.
You need to pick your AD wisely lol

Handshaking, with smug entitlement, in times of a deadly virus who could wipe out the entire planet!!

Where was this? Also edited to add I was/am a customer I didn't just walk in off the street. My point being that you can seemingly have a relationship with an AD that isn't predicated on spending fortunes on other things that aren't as desirable.
