Rich what rubber nato is that? ZD one?
I've been thinking about one but is it not long enough for the loose end to fold over and tuck in?
Yeah its the ZD one from watchgecko. I've been thinking about one but is it not long enough for the loose end to fold over and tuck in?
The keeper isn't deep enough to tuck the tongue back, and I doubt the rubber would fold back in a neat way anyway.
The only real option is to trim it, but I was waiting for the green one to arrive so never bothered.

Well, that all depends on what you've got!
LV. September 2005.SD. April 2008.
GMT II. May 2008.
GV. December 2008.
SUB. April 2009.
EXPLORER II. December 2012.
LVC. March 2017.
SD43. July 2017.
JC2. November 2018.
EXPLORER I. June 2019.
Took me a while to work out the acronyms, but thats a really decent selection. Bet its hard to choose what to wear in the mornings.
What gets the most use?

Two new arrivals over the weekend, thought I would post the current box line up.
Just realised it is very Asian heavy!!
I apparently own 5 G shocks now, the two 'Casioaks' were what arrived this weekend, the other two squares were bought running through duty free for a red eye work flight when I realised I hadn't put a watch on, no idea why I got the white one.
The SNZH53 was my first automatic.
The GS SBGN007 bottom left arrived about 2 weeks ago and will go to the youngest on his 18th (It's a birth year watch for him).
Omega next to the GS was a wedding gift from the wife, my birth year, movement is somewhat temperamental, needs a new battery.
Seiko next to that was another ebay birth year buy, cost buttons, also needs a battery.
PAM320 was first 'big' watch purchase, will probably get moved on soon in honesty, for such a big chunk it feels fragile. Friend of a friend has his eye on it. Will need to fill that gap with the eldest's 18th present, although having bought the GS recently, that can wait, I have close to 15 years to decide, Damasko DA44 or Sinn U1 are top of the list at present.
Rotary was my 18th bday present from my parents that I chose, not worn it for years, but will never leave, you guessed it, needs a battery!
Not included in box are a couple of nothing watchs, a MVMT, Helgray (kickstarter) etc.
Great collection. Enjoy the double G-Shock delivery. Just realised it is very Asian heavy!!

The Panerai is the only one on a leather strap, might be the reason it feels less robust?

Yes, it's on the rubber.
Re fragility, i think its partly user error, it's such a clump of a thing I put a nice scratch on the bezel within a week, not paying attention walking past a wall, nothing a gentle polish won't solve and I'm not overly precious 'they are tools, not jewels' but it requires attention whilst wearing
The all black casioak is bloody useless in all honesty as a time telling machine but I like it. The yellow has had the most wrist time since they arrived.
Posting the above has inspired me to go and get the Omega battery changed tomorrow, by most measures that is the most 'special' in the box.
Scratches like that always irritate me - its one of the reasons the Marinemaster never feels like a tool to me, I'm always aware it is there. I'd not describe it as fragile though! I've got a new arrival coming this week. I think I've done a good thing with this purchase - it feels like it might be a very versatile strap monster... more to come.

I bought a Sky Dweller too.... and haven't stopped wearing it. A great watch and one I've found responds to self regulating. I leave mine dial up overnight and haven't had to adjust the time since January. Very accurate.
My first (and only) Rolex, bought because I like the mix of complication, quirky setting and robustness. A great watch.
Lovely collection! I do like the blue Sky Dweller but I'm learning that I have a thing for white dials. My first (and only) Rolex, bought because I like the mix of complication, quirky setting and robustness. A great watch.
Turns out its a pretty versatile and robust watch. Although its very shiny nobody knows what it is, and people who know watches think its a DJ41.

They do phone notifications, vibrate alarms and all sorts of other stuff too. I shall be using none of this added functionality, but the watch is awesome looking which is what counts for me!

Yes, same three watches in different colours. They're all configurable to show sun rise, sunset, tide times, tide height, second time zone and about 15 other things on the same screen. Or just time and date as I've got it.
