You may find it works better underwater with the crown screwed in. May be worth giving the instruction manual a read.......
Get it wet! Get it wet..! Get it wet ....!! Good lord man its too precious to get wet,
I had hoped I wasn't going to be picked up n the crown being out thumbup

Very nice Skyman ... welcome to the club smile
Thanks. A ceramic Daytona made way for it. I had a standard SS FF some while back, but found it slightly too polished and shiny for my tastes so hustled it on. The brushed red gold will (strangely for a gold piece) be more discrete and under the radar. It is also the complete antithesis of my 979, also recently acquired.

I can't be dealing with date windows any more and all my analogue watches presently are date window-free. Luckily all the future watches I want to add also have no date options so I'm sorted.

Something about them just doesn't sit with me, plus the tediousness of adjusting them etc.

Nice rant. Not sure I agree, but hey ho.

More on topic though, first proper outing with the vintage:

One of these will be arriving with me tomorrow. Quite looking forward to to it.

Very nice, Kash only owned it for about 2 weeks but he is a serial flipper.

I'm loving how this looks/gleams on a sunny day. Really classy but without being shouty?

Waiting for a Barton silicone strap (navy blue/red insert) for my Coniston Steel. Reckon it'll really liven up the watch compared to the dull blue leather strap it came with. smile

robbiekhan's looks excellent.

I've got the same Barton coming too lol, the one in the pic is the all blue one. I can confirm it suits the watch and is so comfortable smile

Wow, I’m really into speedmasters and never even knew that existed. hehe

Off to read up about it, have you had it for long?

Yesterday’s new purchase...it really is awesome in the flesh, I’ll admit the pictures released yesterday had me worried!

Thanks, I've had it a few years. I bought it when you could pick one up for a few £hundred.
