Can't stop looking at this bezel every time it catches the light of /anything/ - Trying to watch YouTube shows tonight and just had to pause and whip the phone out to snap the effect off bezel and box crystal.

Not worn this since spring, I’d forgotten how heavy it is.

That's a great looking watch, seem to be really good value too. Nice.

I nearly sold mine 3 years ago, I’m glad I didn’t.

They are deceptively heavy, such a solid, dense thing and “only” 40mm

I have no real complaints at all really. A uniquely vintage styled diver with all the features needed in a dive watch that isn't massive. I like the GMT bezel though as it suits my needs more than a 60 minute bezel.

Not mine, but my father's Longines I was wearing over the weekend:

Really is a fantastic thing. The rrp is £1,820 iirc and he bought it for £1,500 from a high street jeweler. Lightweight with a very comfortable folding clasp strap. Can't go wrong for the money smile
Two very very nice watches there and not crazy prices either.

Longines seem to be going from strength to strength recently - they have brought out some very tempting watches in their Heritage and Sprit collections over the past couple of years

The one that got away for me, been offered quite a few over the years but never ended up buying. A lovely, lovely watch, would have preferred a alu bezel over the ceramic but still such a gorgeous bit of kit.

I'll get one eventually, it will fit in right with the collection.

Hi

It’s quite cool that they came in and out of production so quickly, people think the Batman wasn’t around long, but these really weren’t.

And funny you say that, I think this watch inspired me to buy an alu bezel ND Sub, which I think is my favourite watch.

I'm wearing an alu bezel sports model as I type, they're just sooooooo good to look at. The bracelet? Pure ste but as comfy as you like but then that's all it's there for.

I adore the modern sports oyster strap, what a piece of engineering/jewellery/production. But then you look at the front of the watch, so I'll take the alu bezel over the better bracelet every time.

Honestly, I’m with you 100% and without sounding like I have the most disgusting 1st world problem, I would probably like to trade to a couple of ceramics for alu bezels but the market is so ridiculous that I won’t be able to replace what I have at list if I want them back!

And the bracelets can sound ridiculous and can feel unnervingly light but it’s not like they are actually fragile in my experience.

Definitely! The swatch group seems to be shunting them upwards to replace the niche Omega used to occupy, as they attempt to position Omega on the same level as Rolex (as far as the customer is concerned, I mean)

Lovely things.

Caravelle New York, Bulova's sub brand. It's a decent lightweight mechanical.
