I've had it for a few years and really like the watch , to me its the last true Sea Dweller being that is 40mm
I really like the slimmer trapping lugs which make it look smaller than the Sub but it is a little top heavy
My First and last 40mm SD
My feelings exactly, I do get slighty over sensitive about the top heavyness if I’ve had a long spell wearing my pre ceramic ND Sub, sometimes enough to not wear it until I’m used to it again.I really like the slimmer trapping lugs which make it look smaller than the Sub but it is a little top heavy

It’s the caseback that pushes it up isn’t it, funny watch isn’t it considering the new Sub proportions, height aside it does seem to be the right proportions.
What a pair!!!!! I’d have to do a lot of “consolodating” for a red Seadweller now :-(

Nice one. I have the 39mm also with the alu bezel and like it a lot. It’d be nice if they did the Ceramic bezel on the smaller watch, but I think it’s only the bigger watches that get it.

Two very very nice watches there and not crazy prices either.
Longines seem to be going from strength to strength recently - they have brought out some very tempting watches in their Heritage and Sprit collections over the past couple of years
Definitely! The swatch group seems to be shunting them upwards to replace the niche Omega used to occupy, as they attempt to position Omega on the same level as Rolex (as far as the customer is concerned, I mean)Longines seem to be going from strength to strength recently - they have brought out some very tempting watches in their Heritage and Sprit collections over the past couple of years
Lovely things.
The Hydroconquest pictured above is another great watch - I have the smaller one in blue - as is the "big eye" chrono. All solid value for money from what was once a very highly regarded brand.

Caravelle New York, Bulova's sub brand. It's a decent lightweight mechanical.Trophy Husband said:
My first proper watch was a Caravelle aged about 12. All the kids in school had red, press the button LED watches. It was a lovely thing with a purple metallic face and a purple leather strap. If I had it now I'd still wear it. It was 30 quid in 1979. How much is that now? 200?
Your 30 quid watch is now equivalent to £152. My one posted above was brand new on eBay with tags and stickers on for £40TeamD said:

Has this become the race to the bottom thread? TeamD said:

That's the other thread. I wasn't sure which price he was on about, so why not both. Peasant lyf here y'all.
