New mesh strap on the 1962 Seiko 66-9990 for today.
Nice! Yesterday I replaced the tacky faux croc the my Goldfeather came on with a black calf skin.

And had the back off and found that its a June 1960 build, so quite an early one.

Humph. Eight more jewels than mine.
It's not about how many jewels you have, it's how you use them. biggrin
Aha! I see your Gold Feather and raise you 1960 Grand Seiko First. Also 25 jewels. biggrin

Damnit! Trumped.
Both equally nice watches and from the same era. My GS came from Australia was a birthday present from Mrs Spydaman and is from my birth month/year. cloud9

Longines Avigation today. One of my favourites.
The dial is rotated to allow it to line up with the eyes whilst your hands are on the controls of an aircraft. Also works well as a driving watch.

Lovely watches, I've been watching a few videos on watchfinder YT about them, really are amazing quality and when compared to a Rolex, really are a class above in detail. I hope one day I can buy one.

I think it says something when the presenter of Watchfinder, who handles watches most of us could only dream about and would be able to get a great deal on any watch spent his own money on a Grand Seiko.
