In case anybody's interested, just got an email from Stowa saying they've now brought out a bronze Flieger:

Still haven't got around to getting anything bronze myself

The same case, crown and movement as the bronze Marine Classic by the looks of it. It's only the dial and handset that's different therefore a very cost effective move by Stowa to introduce the new model, unless the MC isn't selling and they needed another way to use up the cases!https://www.stowa.de/en/fliegerbronzevinatge.htm?u...

I really like the MC however I'm unsure as to how well a patina'd case would look against the silver dial, that wouldn't be an issue with the Flieger.

I bought an MO a year ago and really like it on the croc strap.
Laco have a wide range of fliegers in bronze.
Tempted with either.
Steinhart do a good range of bronze watches. Marine, diver and pilot styles. https://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/catalogsearch/r...
This threads reminded me to post. I have a Tudor Black Bay Bronze, the original one with a brown/bronze dial, got it before the Beckham association, so hold the titters at the back. Anyway the leather strap went quite quickly and i’ve been using the supplied nato since. I’ve been looking at rubber straps and Bulang & Sons for leather straps for something that grabbed me to replace.
Think i have finally found something from a guy in London, he has an Etsy shop/advertises on Insta but here is a snap of what he’s currently making me
Should get it in the next week or two. If it arrives looking as good as that in the snaps i’ll be dead chuffed. Will report back.

This one I got about half a year ago, lovely thing albeit pretty heavy (but that's to be expected with bronze?) Funnily enough I only notice the weight when picking it up, not when wearing.
How are you getting on with the Waterman ZesPak? I thought I'd lose interest but keep coming back to them and there isn't another watch I want more atm. I've been registered with Magrette for 6 months in the hopes they'll make another limited run.I like it, I wear it quite often. BUT in the past half year I've learned what my most worn watches (skx, Magrette leoncino) have in common : big indicators and hands, extremely legible.
The Waterman is legible, but not in the same category.
Still very nice watch though, but not "loving" it the way I do my leoncino or skx.
The great thing about the bronze is that it doesn't care about scratches or wear, unlike the leoncino.
