As it happens I been looking for something in blue.
My favorates at the moment are the Orient Mako 2

https://www.creationwatches.com/products/orient-wa...

but that's a diver so how about a Poljot Blue Angel Chrono.

Since I bought my Vostok Amphibia I've been looking at a lot of Russian watches.

I have a blue Longines Hydroconquest Auto.

I know you said you are not sure on divers, but the dial looks great, good heritage and a nice piece for the cash.

If you go grey dealer, you will only have to increase the budget slightly - or quartz is in budget.

There are quite a few versions, auto, quartz, chrono and dial sizes depending on your preference.

Mine is the smallest 39mm auto, but still wears quite large.

Just a thought, but why don't you either save the cash for the next milestone birth year or use it as a deposit on something that is more expensive? you mentioned you've already got 2x Christopher Ward watches (not sure which models) I'd be looking at something a little more expensive now.

no idea if these are any good, or simply frowned upon as it's quartz, but you can't argue with the brand

Quite nice looking to my eyes....

Good shout.

Assume that has the silicone balance spring/80 hour power reserve similar to the Tissot.

Regarding the Farer - I have the Frobisher II and it's very nice. The hands are quite orange, though, so the suggestion of the tan strap might be better than the black strap that mine's on.

Also from Farer and very close to budget is the Ainsdale split-seconds flyback chronograph. Been wearing mine today. It's a matt-finish dial rather than a sunray, but it's a really nice, well-made, clever watch. I prefer it to the Frobisher.

The Seiko Presage cocktail time is much closer to silver really, it's an ice blue, but it's very pale. The hands aren't particularly legible and they aren't lumed. Still a very pretty watch though. I like mine and I think it's very good VFM, but it's probably not one I will keep for a long time.

I haven't seen this posted. Looks like its a new 2020 release. You may think it's a bit too Rolex in style...

£650 retail for Automatic. The Quartz version is £320.

Stunning looking watch.
