Now announced - https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watch-family/black-b...

Nothing we don't know already from the leaked pictures other than the other strap options.

Interesting that they've gone for a "soft touch" option rather than leather as found on the original 58.

That said, the blue soft touch option is probably the way I would sway if adding a 58 along side my original one on a steel bracelet.

Just my opinion but it's a rather uninspiring shade of blue. That fake riveted bracelet still annoys to.

Meh disappointed.

The renders I had seen made me think the dial indices did not have a gopping metal surround ruins a dive watch IMHO

I don'y mind white gold or similar markers but they just jar with the snowflake hands. The square plots like the Pelagos would have been more traditional.

The lack of crown guards looks odd too.

Of all the different variants being posted on the 'net prior to release I was hoping it would be this one, I think it's an absolute belter and it sits well next to its all black/guilt relation.

Good job, Tudor.

At least it doesn't have a date wheel for them to balls up...

The more I look at vintage Tudor Submariners the more I want one laugh

There was that photo of one alongside this new BB and it just looked so cool...

Same here! I'd take the Black Bay 58 over the Blue Bay 58 as well.

I don’t have the emotional attachment to Tudor (I own a Pelagos) like I do to Omega but I really want an original BB58 in my collection.

I’m a sucker for vintage styles.

Seems like there is a pretty big sale on a lot of the rest of the Tudor range at a few jewellers. Some bargains to be had. Wonder if it's due to new products coming in?
Any links as I can't find any deals

Fraser Hart had discounted North Flags. Collect in store but they’re online anyway.

I really really really like the BB Bronze on the jacquard strap - does anyone have one? I want to know what they look like when worn in. Tudor talk about them developing an aged patina that reflects your wear. What does this really mean?

My question I suppose is does it go from being a really cool looking divers with a nice patina, to a rough looking watch on a saggy fabric strap?

I have had a couple of divers on NATO straps before, and they end up swinging annoyingly like a pendulum from a fabric strap with a stretched buckle hole.

I owned the original BBB for 18 months and this is how it looks once the patina sets in. The nato strap that the watch came with started wearing out 6 months of daily wear so I swapped it out for an Erika's Originals Nato (which also worn out after 8 months). I think due to the weight of the bronze case, the watch feels a bit top heavy on a nato strap so the lugs were rubbing off the strap causing it to fray. I didn't wear it with the thick leather strap much as the whole watch felt a but too heavy to wear - in the end I sold it and bought a Tudor Pelagos LHD which suited daily wear more.

That's brilliant; thank you.

That's brilliant; thank you. It looks much darker than I thought it would. I assumed that it would have a tasteful shading around the areas that don't get rubbed.

I have a 1974 snowflake sub. Bought it 10 years ago or so at bonhams. It’s a nice watch. Feels quite small these days. Not an ever day wear as it’s now worth about 5 times what I paid for it

Been to MK shopping centre today, both Tudor dealers had the following in the window

BB GMT bracelet
BB GMT Strap
BB58 black bracelet
BB58 strap

two dealers but price difference, one had the GMT bracelet at 2750, the other was 3020.

Interesting, I have wanted to see a BB58 black in the flesh for sometime so might pop in next week and try one on.

I figure this is probably the best place to post but am I mad for turning down a brand new heritage ranger on the bracelet for £1560?

I really liked it but couldn't justify it whilst on furlough.
