Hi, Ive googled and not really got much success in locating someone/company that can repair a 1950 ingersoll pocket watch. Its my dads and its not been serviced for a while, now when you wind it up it will tick for around 10 seconds then stop.

Any advice or recommendations welcome. Thanks

Good evening.
FWIW I recommend you ask Michael Swift about it.

(michael swift.co.uk/about)

  • Disclaimer: I have no connection to Michael outside of knowing him for many years and being a very satisfied past customer.**
I have a very nice old fusee pocket watch which was my great-grandfather's, dated 1857 by the hallmark on the silver hunter case, and Michael did a beautiful job of servicing it without disturbing its patina. He also supplied the correct No.3 key for it. He has done other watches for me too and I've always been delighted with the results. I'm about to send him a pair of WW2 aircraft dash clocks to restore, one of which belonged to my grandfather and is part of the memorial I am making for his squadron.
I trust Michael; he is old school. A fine and painstaking craftsman and a thoroughly decent honest man to boot.

He is based in Rothesay on the isle of Bute but accepts work from all over the world.
I'd recommend him without hesitation.

HTH.
