Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I see their website is now not functioning - It was still up and running on 27th May as I was reviewing their strap options
My very sad internet search history
Servicing may now be a problem .......
It's still a watch I want in my collection
When I asked the question about servicing I assumed you knew they had gone bust. I see their website is now not functioning - It was still up and running on 27th May as I was reviewing their strap options

There must be interested parties out there who will pick up stock from the bankruptcy though, and the knowledge to service them must be in someone’s head.
What is the service life of the seals on the baffles?

Give Pietro at The Limited Edition a call - he might be able to help you out.
Good god man ... you can't show me a website like that ... You know I have a problem with "Your checkout is empty" self control, and that combined currently with an embarrassment to the financial department just adds to the pain
They also do some more budget/wife friendly items if you really must degrade yourself
Definitely worth contacting him as I think he was the main HYT seller in the U.K.
He will also know what’s happening with service long term and help you source remaining straps etc.
Hi Mezzanine - Thanks ... I've already reached out
And lastly so we can close the HYT chapter off and move onto something more interesting

And ... It's now with a few friends

That is fabulous! I love it!
What year and model?
It's a Seiko Recraft SNKM97. Great looking watch but I didn't find quality up to usual Seiko standards. What year and model?
I've been lusting after a SNKP27 though, from basically the same series.

Have you seen the Russian (or maybe Polish) chap that engraves those watches? Amazing work and not horrendously expensive. Quite a waiting list I understand!

Dion McAsey at Magrette does some maori-inspired engraved watches. He uses a chap called Andrew Biggs

I actually own a couple of margrettes and silently regret that I didn't have the leoncino engrave. If I was happy to blow £3k on a watch that would definitely lose £2.5k on day one, I'd have considered it a bit more closely.
Andrew Biggs' work is beautiful, and if I had Antipodean heritage, it probably would have been an easy sale.
The way I see it, engraving is the watch (or gun, or whatever shiny chattel) equivalent to a tattoo… if you love it, and are sure, have the ultimate confidence in the artist, and can live long term with the result, go ahead.
Rare indeed it might enhance value however over an unsullied example of whatever canvas is used.
In my view

That's a classy watch!
I would buy that over a daytona 100% I presume the cost is just as eye-watering!
Thankyou, it is indeed a lovely thing, nowhere near as spendy as a daytona thankfully.I would buy that over a daytona 100% I presume the cost is just as eye-watering!
I swapped out the alligator strap for a molequin (not keen on reptile straps)
Was initially only available by visiting the zenith factory store but when covid hit they made it available on line.
