Wow, that's super sharp, well done indeed! The Spruce Goose said:
you have great watch taste, so many different types. Don't think i've ever seen you post a bad watch. A great oasis in the desert of Rolexes that seem to be posted on here.
I only have a handful of watches so can only post so many but thank you! My taste in watches has definitely changed over the years from known big brand dive watches to a few micros here and there to less popular (but to my eyes more impressive to appreciate) pilot watches and rare/retro Casios (G-Shock excluded lol).I have a feeling this is it now, if I ever find a Grand Seiko Spring Drive with no date window at a decent price then that will be all that's needed to complete a personal collection of grail watches for me really.

Yep, running +1/day too. Got a decent one.
Excellent and all the more curious as to why Seiko themselves don't regulate to this type of standard when third parties are outdoing them with their own movement!robbiekhan said:

Anyway it’s another NH35 powered watch for me today, the Heimdallr titanium.
I really like this one. A bit more expensive than some of my other ones (£160 ish? Can’t remember) but it’s a banger. I actually had an SMP 300 but prefer the homage!
So did Breitling copy Rado's Captain Cook or is it the other way round Nice watch though! I prefer the dial accents on the Captain Cook personally but both look real nice.

I think it’s just the luck of the draw, really, although my Samurai came back from Seiko Deutschland with a new and perfectly regulated movement when it was replaced.

I spent so long, a year+ easily umming and ahhing before buying the Stowa. It was only when the bronze model fell under my eyes online that I thought that now was the time to jump in with an order. It's not a lot of money compared to the big luxury brands out there but it's still a lot of money on a simple 3 hander with a hand wind movement. The quality of the finish though is just excellent and I rate it higher than other watches I have had in and above this price range. I think you will be super satisfied!Your bronze Flieger is my grail watch, by the way. Maybe for my 50th, with an engraving….we’ll see!

Posted before but worth a read if you haven't already. Breitling came first. Rado re-issued first I suspect you know this already Robbie and you're having a stir! https://www.fratellowatches.com/in-depth-review-br...

I genuinely did not know about the Breitling/Rado bit! I've actually only recently gained an interest in Rado after seeing the Captain Cook one day earlier this year!
I came very close to buying this one in the airport a few years ago but ultimately the quality wasn't quite there. Lovely little thing though. Breitling is on a different level and much more appealing but at over twice the price you'd expect it to be!

Sticking with the NH35 theme, new arrival toady, Nezumi Baleine. Seems good quality for the money and the box is a retro work of art!
I treated myself to a Nezumi Voiture Chronograph a few months ago as a birthday present to myself. Very impressed with the quality for the price and has an interesting VK63 mecha-quartz hybrid movement by Seiko. When re-setting the chronograph the second hand flies back instantly like a real mechanical chronograph. Totally agree on the box being a retro work of art

Does the little anchor move?
It should do, it'll spin in the same way that the movement rotor does. Here's my watch for the day, in fact it has been the one and only watch for the last 3 weeks when I bought it.
Am I cured?

I'm wearing a Seiko Dawn Grey turtle as I type, but it does surprise me how the price of the Seiko 5 range has doubled over the last few years. I looked out the receipt for my Monster and it cost £120. I've been wearing that for a few weeks, and it never ceases to impress. Accurate to 30 secs per week, and will take any punishment you give it, whether it be spannering or swimming. I am sure you have made a great acquisition. The photo is crap because the colours are grey and orange.
