Wrist check 2021
Discussion
Thanks - it is a lovely thing, and all of 36mm in size. He left it to me with a couple of other bits. Worth nothing, but of immeasurable sentimental value. It has cost me more than it is worth keeping it in working order, but the case has a crack that I am worried will finally end its life.
But to not wear it is worse, so very occasionally, I do!

My father's old Connie, which he bought new. Will be wearing this to Goodwood whilst in period dress this weekend.
Steel case, black dial and gold hands/indices works really well. I'm sure the case crack could be laser welded by the right specialist, but not something I've needed done before.Edited by Harry Flashman on Wednesday 15th September 20:53

Any chance of model code or year as i think this will be a watch for me. My Dad was an omega fan, long left, but would be a nice watch to remember him by.The Spruce Goose said:

I did some searching last night and could find the same watch with a gold bezel but not with the silver/steel one as pictured
Lovely looking watch though!!
Sorry chaps - absolutely nothing on it except for the standard observatory image/moulding on the case back. Lovely looking watch though!!

Best I can come up with is a circa 1952 Omega Constellation 354, Still not convinced its the same watch, bezel looks more gold on any that I can find
The later ones like the ref 168.010 looks close, with the right colour case but the wrong shape lugs. The hands and dial markers all look right though.https://www.ebay.com/itm/202930796768

1960s more likely than 50s as Dad would have been too young to buy his own watch until about 1960.
Will check the lugs as my photo may be off. Everything else looks very close, except mine is in worse condition!
