Excuse my complete ignorance but I'm quite new to watches, never seen a Rolex with a dark red dial but that looks really special! congrats!

Thanks, Oyster Perpetual with Grape starburst dial.

Someone will know better than me but I think they discontinued that dial on that watch

Yep you’re right it’s discontinued and the price is steadily going up. Think they’re about £7k to buy now!

Day 23 (it’s been a few days where i haven’t been able to wear a watch)

Struggle with this watch as I want to like it and I do when I’m wearing it. But because I have so many watches it’s never normally charged when I want to wear it!

The ceramic bezel is the one to go for.
That looks particularly good on the rubber strap.

They're great value for money IMO. My only slight dislike is the bracelet has polished centre links, I think it would look much nicer with them all brushed but that's personal taste smile

Today's choice:

Tudor Black Bay 41

Got my ‘Hulk’ back last week from servicing with Rolex. It’s the first time I’ve sent one to them but was reluctant to have it refinished as I was quite proud of the ten years of scratches and abuse it was wearing. It’s sort of a shame in a way to lose all that character but it really was looking a bit tatty, so I went for it.

Have to say, I’m rather impressed! A couple of the really deep dents haven’t polished out but the rest of it looks like new! Nice to have it back anyway….

That looks great. I’ve lusted after one of these for years. I’ve never seen one in the flesh and that’s one reason why I’ve never actually ordered one...

Lovely looking watch and, by all accounts, practical and robust. Great choice
