Sturdy, I wasn't really aware of Lemania either before I got a hold of this watch a couple years back. They were producing their own movement and watches back in the days. Around the 30s, they merged with Omega and Tissot and became their in-house movement producer; Aldrin's famous Speedmaster has a Lemania movement. Eventually, after some re-org the group passed hands and now they are owned by Breguet, but the name Lemania is not customer-facing since ages.

I was about to put on something vintage for the eveni g, inspired by you lot.
Then realised that I am maki g dim sum, and that this requires timing. And the bezel of a dive watch is just right for this sort of thing. Lacking any vintage divers, I put on my favourite of this type in my collection. Happy new year, all! May it bring you health and happiness.

I keep looking at Turnographs and wonder why they never caught on. I really do like them and can see me trying one in the near future.

My steamer has a mechanical timer...I can wear a 2 hand watch when enjoying dim sum. I love progress Then realised that I am maki g dim sum, and that this requires timing. I think this thread needs a Rolex ban! Today it’s one of the first decent watches I bought about fifteen years ago. Somehow it’s survived many culls and remains in the collection, probably because it’s not really worth selling. It’s a lot of watch for the c.£200 they cost used.
Probably switch to something a bit blingier for going out later!

I regret not picking up a 01-92 when I saw one for half-price in a clearout sale years ago now, and the 'thin' minutes hand now on the 03-92 (as opposed to the original 'sword'(?) hands for both minutes and hours) does not appeal!
