I have both Seamaster (black bexel, white face) and Pelagos (all black) and love them both but my 'go to' would be the Breitling Blue SuperOcean Heritage with mesh strap. I am sure you could get a discount to bring it into the price range but if not, get a good second hand one. Bloody lovely!

They do various examples in 42mm which is a more versatile size, although I guess that depends on your wrist size.
