Hello, I'm planning to gift my sister a watch for passing her licensure exam. Any idea on what should I get? She's 24 by the way.

Tissot have some nice automatics in a sensible budget.

An idea on style and budget will get more comments.

This question is impossible to answer without knowing your budget. How much do you want to spend?

Rado have some quite interesting women's watches. Ceramic would also mean it'll not be scratched to bits in 3 weeks hehe

It seems a far higher proportion of women's watches are quartz, I assume based on their market research they've concluded that most women are looking for different things to most men, so maybe keep that in mind.

I'd imagine they'd be more likely to wear a different watch for different situations, so perhaps go for something more interesting colour wise, they're also presumably less interested in the mechanics of an automatic, and will value the convenience and perceived quality of it always being the right time, probably place more value on a nice face (mother of pearl perhaps) as opposed to an exhibition caseback and so on.

What's also impressive is the absolute lack of quality online reviews of women's watches. There are countless websites that review men's watches, presumably there just isn't the market out there of female watch enthusiasts.

Yep I'd agree with that.

My wife has quite a few watches and they tend to be based on different colours more than anything else.

They tend to be colourful quartz Swatches, Skagen etc.

She bought this a couple of weeks back and it does look very nice on:
