Yes, it's a breguet hora mundi, a lovely object.
Available with an Americas dial, Asian dial, or Europe and Africa dial.
Price typically 40-60k..

I found some incredible images of some of the complicated A Lange & Sohne exhibiton movements, and have been looking for a "budget" something or other with similar looks.....

Just found the "Baltic Bicompax 001" which I think might be my perfect watch..... small (39mm) ,panda dial, chrono, beautiful, and just LOOK at that movement..... and the range is all under £800.......

Looks like a Seagull 1901 movement - quite a few cheaper/micro brand chronographs have that movement. I’ve certainly had at least two watches with it in - it’s a sound movement, if well-regulated will keep good time, looks nice as you say. Only real downside is all the watches I had with it in were quite thick.

On the subject of exhibition backs: am I the only one who is unmoved by them?

I was looking at a Patek a while back and the salesman in hushed tones opened a cover on the rear and in hushed tones announced "and...exhibition..." at which point he lost me

Isn’t it basically a 60s Venus movement as used in old Breitlings etc?

Yes Venus 175 IIRC, though even older than 60s I think. No idea what watches used it though. I think Venus sold the movement tooling to the Chinese and then Venus was absorbed into Valjoux.
