I'm currently tossing it up between the new C60 Tide and the new tissot seastar 2000

i really cant decide between the two.
That’s a no-brainer. The new CWs are superb, and the Tissot is a chunky old thing with (I think) an aluminum bezel.

This is the one for me at the moment on this strap too. Haven't managed to buy one yet and on a wait list at a couple of places.
Ooooo, i like that. I dont have a white dial/panda in my collection. How much is it? (Should it be)

Yeah I know... Rolex yada yada... boring etc.... but I really do love the simple elegance of these.

I’m the same. I think it’s such a simple and versatile looking watch

I've got a bit of an obsession with Seiko divers. Not everyone's cup of tea but I would love one of these. Great film that they are associated with as well.

I like the simplicity of these designs. Not particularly a fan of overly busy faces with information overload so these ticks the boxes for me - all with nice straps too (can't do metal bracelet on my thin wrists). Not hyper expensive dream purchases but I'm not fussy tongue out

Love Seiko divers too! I’d love the black one of those but I’d put it on a waffle strap

Yes same here. Great watches for the money. The bracelets are nice but seem particularly prone to scuff marks and scratches.

Off for a quick 'google' but may as well ask here too... which one is that? The new one? I don't recognise the baton markers. But it looks like it has HELs so maybe an older one?!

I do like the Santos and have considered buying one. I am just not quite sure about Cartier watches on a chap.
I would agree that they are toward the feminine side (and if my missus had any interest in a nice watch I'd steer her the way of Cartier) but I think there is something to be said nowadays for a smaller, more elegant, watch.

Pretty much obsessed with this Grand Seiko Heritage SBGA413.

Part of a series that represents the different seasons in Japan, this particular one has a dial that is designed to look like the cherry blossom trees in springtime.

It looks mostly white, but as it catches different light it becomes cherry blossom pink.

Stunning in my opinion, and the Spring Drive movement is a masterpiece that I would like to own at some point.

40mm and £4800.

Yep - you and me both.

I have had some nice watches over the years and then de-watched a while back selling Patek and JLC to try and become a 'one watch' person with a Sky Dweller and a Breguet, oh, and a Planet Ocean GMT. One watch. See?

Anyhoo, a Spring Drive is on my list. I really like them.

I think they are a very stylish, classic look. The Santos in particular has a great history and makes a fine choice. I would have one in black personally.

It sounds funny but I don’t think I lead the right lifestyle too carry a Cartier off (too common!)

Some Grand Seiko’s are amazing.

I’ve been lusting after a Glasshutte Panomatic Inverse for a while but can never bring myself to getting one.

I also quite like Corum Admiral Cups but not in 48mm!

We agree on two points.

Cartier watches on ladies are fab.

Dress watches shouldn't be large.

I seem to like watches that look (roughly) the same as they did 50 years ago and will still look the same 50 years from now. The Santos fits this bill.

I'm assuming we can be honest without offending on this thread?

If so I have to say that I find those watches exceptionally unattractive
