Love a bullhead. A regret of mine is not buying a Seiko bullhead at a Carboot because the seller was such a prick.

How much if you don’t mine sharing?

Red wine + eBay =

Only €55, came with box and papers (provenance being all-important when purchasing a pre-owned luxury watch like an Invicta), a black crocodile leather strap, a perlon single pass strap, the bracelet AND a half-full bottle of Aramis 900.

I’m not sure whether to use the Aramis as after shave or as paintbrush cleaner.

Ah, the red wine decision… I’ve made a few of those!

Just a touch over thread budget. This arrived from AliExpress this morning. Some seventies retro brownness, Red Star Bullhead, homage to a famous Seiko. Seagull ST1901 movement. I'm going to put it on a bund strap just to finish it off correctly.

That is a great looking thing!

Borderline for spending the extra and getting the Seiko I should have bought years a go, but realistically would have to budget a service. They do look good though, clever use of the Seagull.

Yeah, excellent.

A bit of a gap with the square ends but as it’s all black it doesn’t really stand out.

That PVD Samurai was a heck of a bargain!
Basically I couldn't justify (even with my man maths) £80 extra for end links....that would nearly pay for a Ali sourced Steeldive Willard

Also all the PVD/DLC coated bracelets are over a brushed finish, this Samurai has a sort of shot blasted base so not sure how it would have looked together.

That’s great news. Has it just done that all on its own or have you been experimenting with leaving it standing in different positions?

Wow! Glad it’s sorted now. I know we don’t expect quartz accuracy but there’s nothing worse than a watch that gains or loses so much that it can’t be relied upon.

Post a picture when you get a chance
