Wire the Spinnaker in this brown leather strap today, for a bit of variation. It felt comfortable with the leather but I missed the bright orange of the rubber strap I had it on before… so it’s back to orange later tonight. But, do I start searching for an orange leather strap?
I just popped mine on to a rubber strap, much more comfortable that the mesh one. I am used to Oyster bracelets, so this is a nice change biggrin I think these Spinnaker are great value for money.

Was after something bronze or blue for a bit of summer fun, found this on one of the FB watch groups for £60, yes quartz but screw down crown, sapphire coated mineral, 20atm and a nice retro vibe, maybe a bit too big for my wrist but it’ll do for summer on the beach and in the sea.

Nice, that's very 'clean' for sixty quid smile

That looks great on that strap. Could I ask where you got it?

Thanks, I got it from Amazon as a tester but I think I’ll see if it lasts as it is very comfy once chopped down to size smile

The latest acquisition - sourced through a UK seller on eBay.

New with tags, boxed and bang on the thread budget.

Is the Russian stuff rehabilitated here then? When I posited that the venal might benefit from the sanctions situation just after the invasion there was some outrage at the suggestion.

My conscience was a little clearer knowing that Vostok Europe is primarily Lithuanian, with their watches being assembled in Vilnius.

The Swiss are hardly whiter than white when it comes to misdeeds and China are up there on the list of current atrocities and I'd still buy either

Yeah, that was me, and in retrospect I probably waded in a bit too strong. Apologies.

Anyway I sold my Vostok Amphibia as it wasn’t bringing me joy (and bought a Steeldive 1953 instead, which does).

Excellent points.

Let he who is without sin buy the first watch.

I'm loving my Chinese stuff.

I wore my Steeldive to a posh embassy do last night. I haven't worn any Russian ones since it all kicked off.

I'm without a Sinn (not my cuppa)!
Not sure I'll be buying anything for a while though. My employer has filed for chapter 11, there is uncertainty over whether they will meet payroll this month, or pay the last two month's salary sacrifices into our pensions.
It's all very annoying as I found and fell in love with a black faced Futurematic that may or may not be way over thread budget. Let's just say the asking price ends in £200.

^^^^This, Vostok Europe ended their association with Vostok Russia some years back, electing to use Malaysian NH35 movements instead of the original Vostok movement, so I feel quite at ease wearing mine!!!

8 years. 'Tis a game of wait and see now, fortunately the job market is bouyant. It won't be hard to find something for more money if I need to.

I don't mind at all. although we're off topic a tad. I'm a professional herder of electrons, aka electronics design engineer.

…and a professional hoarder of delightful vintage watches!

Best of luck with the job search as and when it begins.

Good luck with the job search. I know nothing about that field but I'd imagine it's highly sought after?
