I don't like Submariners, never have.

So of course got the Pagani homage, for £60 with the Seiko movement. And of course, it's ace, especially on an heretical leather strap.

.. But more importantly, and I'm slightly ashamed to confess this, I went looking for a 007 style Nato strap as an alternative look.

I found this. Sunday night quiz - How much do you think Omega want for what looks like a standard polyamide strap?

If you know, don't post. Everyone else, no peeking, just best guesses.

At a guess...........£450, I know someone who recently bought a cheaper rubber strap and a genuine Omega clasp and the clap was eyewateringly expensive!!!

£330. FFS. Imagine if that's the mark-up on the rest of what they sell. Perhaps it is, which is why Pagani stuff is sub £100....

Mine doesn't. Maybe that's why it came free with the watch....

Oh, and for the avoidance of doubt, I'm looking for this, the only Bond Nato that counts, none of that arriviste Omega cr@p for my Pagani biggrin

It should be 2mm too small to be authentic.

Holy st, that's way beyond what I would have dared to guess. That's some balls!

So I bought a third Timex, there's some issues I have with buying things in threes. Anyway, I rather like this..

Cool strap on it too.

For under £40 I really can't knock it. Only criticism I'd had of any of these Timex analogues is that they tick really loud. But the cool Indiglo really makes up for it.

£330 for that strap, bloody hell. My guess was £140.

Anyway that Pagani D submariner looks very decent. Well bought. My Pagani Airking has arrived but I think it’ll have trouble shifting the Citizen Promaster from my wrist this summer!

I wish I’d never seen this thread. hehe

After being happy with the Steeldive I got the Tandorio. Scrolling through EBay tonight I found another Tandorio that caught my eye. Appropriately named the Monster. Seiko NH36A movement. Advertised new at $79.20 with that most evil of all devices - the “make offer” button. So I offered $65 and he only bloody accepted it!
