That’s sad news about your horse, good to see you’re staying active to keep your mind off it and as we all know exercise is a great thing anyway (health, endorphins etc).

That Casio looks like it’s been a faithful companion.

In other news I have an opera update coming, I just need to get a photo of Tony the Tiger with his flame throwers on this week and it’ll be ready.
That's GRRREAT!

(sorry, not sorry)

I have been wearing my do it all, never break, never be more than two seconds out of true time watch as I can't bring myself to wear my "fancy" Tissot or DH. I know there is love for what Casio does so here is my Casio put it on the wrist and go.

It ain't pretty, the fixed bezel is wearing away but it works, is radio controlled/solar so always tells the right time and keeps going. Too big for my little wrist but what the hell.

No steering wheel shot but a picture over the field where my horse should be. He was put down last week in traumatic circumstance, the scratches on my arm are from brambles where I have been riding my mountain bike to have some solitude instead of riding my horse.

Bobbers keep riding that bike I haven't posted but follow your bike thread.

None of my watches really suit the bike riding so after years of owning Swatch watches for riding the bike and swearing never to own one again (cos the straps/lugs break) I have seen a Swatch 34mm with silicon strap that fits the bill. You all will hate it but would do me just dandy. It would take me to 5 watches!!!!
Really sorry about the horse. I hope the biking is giving you the space and solitude you need.

I love to get out on the bike, simple gravel trails, nothing too dangerous or exciting, and I would echo that it might be worth trying a Garmin. I’ve used one to track rides and it’s nice sometimes to see the map you can upload to your phone if you’ve been exploring new places (I’m sad like that though - I zoom out and see if there’s anything nearby that I’ve missed and could explore next time).

I’d also say, think about a G Shock. They can take a real hammering and keep going and you don’t have to remember to charge them up before a ride!

Thanks for all the kind words.

Have just ordered a new watch for riding the bike, should be here Friday, will post a "handlebar" shot when I get it.

Don't you all get too excited it's way inside thread budget.

I've had a recent eBay session to clear a few out but in 24 hours I've sort of replaced half of them!

I had a depth charge watch that on paper was a great spec (sapphire, ceramic bezel, nh35) but I just didn't bond with and I ended up getting more for it than I paid so that was a small win!

I run a budget watch sales group on Facebook so I'm in there often enough and earlier today something caught my eye, a quick message to the seller who was in the states and a deal was done!

It's a Duxot Altum Limited edition, I'm not usually a fan of Merc hands but I love the way the blue colour really pops from the white dial.

I also sold a gshock that was absolutely massive (gd-x6900) and used the proceeds of that to buy the smaller standard size 6900 model in a great colour way.

So basically a couple of fun summer pieces and still a few quid left for something in the AliExpress sale!

I shouldn’t have read this thread this morning as I’d never heard of Duxot but the first few hours of the cricket, sunshine and an early pint had me on eBay. Offer accepted and watch in bound. Any further info/experience any was has on the brand appreciated.

At the price it was worth a punt. And I do love a blue faced watch.

Half thread budget.

It’s already here. No 13 of 50 apparently.

£100. First impression is I’ve had a result. A know the website price is to be taken with a pinch of salt and I know, where these watches are but it’s definitely one of them. Not an even cheaper copy..

https://duxotwatches.com/collections/atlantica-rai...

It’s a step up in quality from both my Spinnakers and the steel dive.

The plastic is still on on the above shots. I need to play with the micro adjuster on the clasp after taking two links out but I’ll wear it for a few days first.

Quick review: it’s a bit bling! But it is a homage to the Rolex Rainbow series. So that’s hardly a surprise. I prefer saying it twinkles on the wrist! And it really does. When I picked it up after the links were done the steeldive came off for the first time in two weeks. I love my steel dives and spinnakers but this is a step up in quality of finish and possibly materials. The dial is absolutely fabulous and has a deep blue “mother of pearl” effect I can’t wait to see it in the sun but It’s fked off!

Not sure I’d be paying the $800 on the website but for £100 and delivered in 24 hours from eBay in 18 hours I’m pleased. Cheers for posting blue haddock! I’d not got a twinkling watch in the collection!

The Tandorio Monster arrived. I like the look and it feels very substantial. I set the time and date last night and it was accurate to 2 seconds this morning. Seiko NH36A movement. $65. Not sure how they can do that!

That's because it's not a Seiko 5 Sports, it's a full fat Prospex, the 5 Sports are the entry level Seiko's, the Prospex is a true divers watch.

Love these and ridiculous value for money. Where did you pick it up so cheaply?

I got one on that deal from SecretSales, it’s my 50th birthday watch.

Register for the site; those deals may reappear. It’s worth it, the watch is excellent and highly underpriced.

Well happy Father’s Day to you wonderful people.

Who needs a Moonswatch? My Father’s Day gift from my wife and kids, this fantastic PD 1071 V4 and Sniper Bay NATO. I didn’t even take the plastic off of the bracelet, just took it straight off and put the NATO on. The colour of the dial is gorgeous, and pairs perfectly with the white bezel. The perfect summer watch.

The pigs blood of bezels and bracelets has worn off and what with the AliExpress sale…and the frankly weak excuse of getting a holiday watch…Steeldive Willard is inbound (with a spare waffle strap) about £60 delivered. Put a waffle strap, jubilee bracelet for Duro and an Isoprane strap in the basket too.

Looking forward to seeing how it matches up to the positive experiences.

Bit gutted as I missed out on the Pagani Doxalike at a good price.
