How would the collective feel about a Helm Khuraburi Titanium?

A slight budget-buster at $375 + $35 postage but it’s a properly solid lump of titanium on a titanium bracelet.

It took a while to reach the top of the waiting list but I’m very glad I got there.

They are a popular watch but i know of a lot of people (myself included) who have waited to get to the top of the list and then decide against buying them as we no longer fancy them.

My big gripe on the Ti models is the fact they dont have any coating to stop them marking so can look scruffy pretty quickly.

But they are a decent watch for the money.

I love the design, but that's one chunky mofo. I feel like I'd constantly bash it on door frames et al.

It does look absolutely enormous. The lug to lug is pretty short which makes the side profile look even more out of proportion.

I had a Helm Vanuatu, beautifully made but a bit too big for me. Sold it at a small profit (€30, something like that).

Still enjoying this 39mm Cronos, now back on the bracelet. Other than the clasp (now a third party glidelock style thing, which isn’t great) the quality is easily on a par with my San Martins. A £100 bargain.

Cute dog.

That Helm watch looks massive! I like the design but know I wouldn't be able to pull it off.

I wore my Nodus for the first time out today, and ended up doing some work on my bike. Clouted it on the handle bar but no marks luckily.

I love it, great watch! Simple and no date.

So today I've found out what bonus from work I'll be getting for the 1st quarter of the year and then I spot a watch.

Some things are meant to be!

Shall we play a game of guess the make?

Ooh, I know this one!

Two words, five syllables... am I right?

Yes two words, and whilst I'm no Suzie dent I would say the common pronunciation will be five syllables

I did think that if I didn’t like it I could punt it on quickly for not much cost. I was worried about the size and while horizontally it’s smaller than I thought, it is quite tall. I haven’t whacked it yet and suspect that anything I did hit would probably come off worse!

For now, it’s a keeper.

Obviously I only mention the ‘financials’ on any of my watch transactions when they’re in my favour!!

Took 7 days to arrive so they gave me a £1 voucher as it was a 5 day delivery guarantee, £24.71 all in then, no complaints here:

I had to take 4 links out as I have wrists like a butchers pencil.

I just ordered one of these 1000m divers from AliExpress. The price has actually crept up slightly from about £53 this morning and they did add about £10 tax during checkout.

It's a chunky hockey puck of a thing but I felt it would make a great wear anywhere holiday and beach watch.

I have the green dialled version for a couple of years and its a monster, yes its pretty heavy but wears weel due to the lugless design.
