Well I'm just back from a few days in NYC. No stock there and no idea if/when any will be coming in.

I think I'm done with these now. Shame, but I'm not wasting any more of my time traipsing round physical stores.

Likewise, I thought one of these would be pretty cool but the ridiculous frenzy and inability to supply has tarnished the whole thing. I'd feel like a doofus wearing one now as a result of all that too. It's all just a bit much for a poxy swatch.

Reminds me of the new beetle; people paying well over the odds to have one in LHD and yellow in the very early days. Same cars were worth squat when supply evened out.

if you are a multinational powerful director, then surely your time means you just buy one from a reseller?

Swatch have lost another customer.....I would definitely have bought one if available when launched but the longer this farce goes on the more I've now gone off the idea. I'll use the money instead to put a deposit down for a Black Bay 58.

Sums it up for me too. I liked the idea of a Moon or Mercury but now I’m not even a bit arsed.

I sometimes feel like I’m the last sane voice, shouting into a dark empty void.

In space no one can hear you scream!

Like others above, I’ve given up on them. I’m not sure swatch’s strategy has panned out well. Initial excitement looked good and accessibility of a great design available at a good price to hook in new and younger buyers. But lack of stock, no online sales and the scalpers’ behaviour is a turn off.

Saw a Misson to Mars one on a kids wrist this weekend (first time seeing one in real life, the watch that is) don’t know if it was the colour but it put me right off.

It looked like a child’s watch.

I’d have thought it was more to do with it being on a child no?

Or possibly because it is a red and white plastic swatch?

Personally I have no issue buying a cheap plastic copy of a cheap plastic copy if they are easier to get hold of. paperbag

Possibly reasonable advice, from a certain perspective, but taken literally: clearly incorrect.

I have 2x 150m professional divers.
Is that the same as 1 x 300m watch?

My daily wear quartz watch is 300m, that way I only have to think about it if I am prepping for a deep dive (something I don't do).

Can probably buy a very passable fake of the real thing in stainless for less than £200

Look at r/reptime, Hont has got them, for something daft like $148 shipped. The pictures don't make them look like they're decent quality, but they're not great photos either.

and the world turns

£96 delivered, which seems pricey, but then they are only avail for £400 on the grey market unless you strike it lucky in store,
so £96 on the black is a thing

I'd probably go for one of these rather than some "homage" of the Monnswatch

Or even the Swatch Night Flight, seems objectively a much better watch than that plastic toy nonsense everyone is frothing over. Cheaper too.
