Edited before posting so as not to offend you.
Because your trying to offend people who are different to you.
To the Watch Police....
We all have opinions, some of us have large watch collections.
Some of us small
Some expensive watches, some cheap watches.
But they are all OURS!
No need to slag off people's tastes?
If these were £40 each I'd go for the collection.
But I'm old enough to know when my Trousers are being pulled down!
£1000+ for some plastic watches- No thanks.
You really must stop telling people that they are thinking wrong?

I'm not sure the internet is the right place for you. It was hardly trying to offend anyone... They aren't £1k anyway?

To your second point, they look pretty decent, much as the photos show and not plasticky in any way.
Nice. There are another couple of posts saying they look pretty good in the flesh.

I'd also go for the Mercury, which seems to be leading the way on this thread at least.

Report back if you manage to pick one up tomorrow.

How much is the full set then?
As a collector, IF I wanted them, I would want a full set.
I estimated £1000.
How far off was I?
The internet is for everyone, shame that doesn't suit you.

Feel free to point out exactly where in this thread I have 'slagged off' anyones taste in watches? Or 'slagged off' any watch?

I haven't done anything like that. Quite the opposite. I love all kinds of watches, and all kinds of prices, including cheap plastic ones made by Swatch.

That picture is just a joke. Don't take it seriously.

The only people who could possibly get offended by that picture, are the 'Flexers'. Flexers are people who are angry about the fact that anyone can now buy something with Omega written on it, for £200. To be honest, I'm happy to offend those people because they are being completely ridiculous.

A full set has to be £2.5k with a fancy box.

Do you own the full set of speedmaster professionals?

Or all the variations of any other watch you like?

I think most people will just buy one and be very happy with their £200 speedy

I didn’t even like them at the beginning of the thread and I’m getting one (online) If they’re available. hehe

I'm taking my daughter out for lunch - just told her we'll have to call in

Quietly hoping they won't have sold out by lunchtime otherwise it'll have to be on-line

That's the opposite of the type of people he's mocking with that picture. It's mocking the kind of people who think the purpose of having a certain watch is to be seen to have that watch, rather than just buying what you like and bugger whether anyone else notices it.

laugh

Anyone paying over RRP to a flipper is an idiot honestly, but some still will.

I think they're really cool though, I'd like to grab a couple when they're available online later.

That’s what I thought, and also the thrust of my post about the guy in the shop with me who seems to want one because social media says so. Same with sneaker hype

Absolutely.

I love all watches and would wear a £10 Casio.

Anyway, let’s gets back to estimating how huge the queue will be for these watches at 9am tomorrow morning!
