This can’t be true. As has been said, it’s a mix between a Seamaster and a Speedmaster. Omega would never mix those two together.

That helium valve on a Speedmaster make ma toes curl.
Also James Bond has no history of wearing a Speedmaster, ever. Sure, they could pull of the same stunt again with the Seamaster. , but I can’t see them doing this again. Surely not for an other decade or so.

Looks a horrible mix up of a number of other Omega watches in my view.
I agree. Remember those Omega owners complaining about 'devaluing the brand'? They're going to lose their minds now! laugh

Swatch said they are on track to make 1.5 million watches in a year since release , doesn't really seem that scarce really.

It doesn't but also consider that Rolex pump out around 1m/pa too and their (perceived) scarcity

I got a mission to Jupiter via my brother in law who lives in London. It's currently sporting a No Time To Die NATO (not an authentic Omega one unfortunately!), which suits it quite nicely in my opinion.

I'd like a Mercury but given I live in the North West popping to London or Scotland in the hope they have one isn't really practical. I hope at some point they open them up to other Swatch stores or offer a click and collect service if they're trying to use them to maintain the presence of stores.

I suspect I'll end up wearing it far more often than my sapphire sandwich.

I think the crux was they are looking to up production, and produce 500k in a few months, which hopefully means stock.

I think I will get one not sure which one though. Would like the snoopy.

There are YouTube channels and watch forums which devote quite a lot of time to discussing watches worn by celebrities, sports stars, actors, businesspeople and so on, so I think it is safe to say that a lot of people care, or are at least quite interested.

I do.

While it is neither important nor earth shattering, it is interesting in the context of this thread, isn’t it?
Why are you reading this thread in the first place? It is about a watch made by Swatch but look like Omega Speedmaster.

Thousands of people spent probably millions of hours waiting in line to buy one. Others are paying (or used to) many times over rsp on the secondary market. It is a phenomena and it is crazy!

Of course it is interesting that James Bond himself (well the actor that used to play him), a world renowned style icon, wears a Neptune MoonSwatch.

If you question this, you are questioning the whole sense of a public forum.

On that note: 280 post in almost 15 years and one of them is “who cares?” In this context?

I got my Mission to the sun at a pop up swatch store at the trafford centre before christmas.

Depends on the context, but anecdotally Moon, Neptune and Mercury seem to be the most limited in supply.

You obviously haven’t heard of product placement although why anyone would be impressed simply because the actor who is the worst Bond other than Dalton wears a watch is beyond me.

Dalton was one of the best. Living daylights is perfection.

The concept of product placement is well known to me wink
BTW I didn't state that I was impressed, merely that I'm interested. People on this thread are interested in what watch some stranger nobody (not meant derogatorily) on the other side of the world wears. This is what threads like this is all about.

On an other note, we can gladly discuss Bond movies and actors. As you may have guessed, I'm fairly knowledgable in that field as well. Who is the best actor to play Bond? A difficult question indeed. Beyond a ranking based on personal preference, one would have to specify that question a bit more differentiated.

I couldn't resist, I was in Toronto and the Swatch shop had a few in, so bought myself this with some Christmas money. The OEM strap is made well but very inflexible, maybe it works on bigger wrist but certainly not mine.

So I got two different straps, a white rubber Hirsh one which is just gorgeous quality, well worth the price. And a Gulf NATO. I can't decide which one I like to wear more. I am under no pretense that I own an Omega, it's just a fun watch for the Summer. Really like how light it is though.

That Gulf strap looks perfect on it; where did you get it from? I may need to copy you if I manage to get hold of the watch.

We were in Rome for a few days last week for work and some tourist stuff. The store in the city had various types in stock as we passed by each day. We got a few as we had some friends and family have been trying to get one.... Wasn't interested in flipping them so it was nice for them to go to people who actually wanted them.

They had a rule of one per person per day and a security guard on the door. The staff at the airport store said they'd only seen 3 Neptunes since launch but get around 70 per week of the other colours.

I agree on the strap - it's well made but not very flexible. I think there's a sweet spot for fitting perfectly.
