Me and several Omega owning colleagues are lapping this up.

We're all one Omega watch owners that would love to add more watches, but funds simply won't allow. Would much rather spend £207 on this than a £200 knock-of.
Do you mean that you do not have enough money? That is life - you do not need to try to hide it with ridiculous phrases.

Good luck pulling the trigger on Saturday: I hope it gets lots of wrist time.

PH meet in London on Saturday? biggrin

Cool things... tempted to jump on a train Saturday morning... albeit I wouldn't want to be queuing!

Counts as a dog walk if I take the mutt, right?

Mercury for me to wear but a Moon might be a nice thing to own.

It's a bit of fun - devalues nothing for me and a clever tool to get people into the brand and history.
You may already be too late, seen photos on Instagram of people actually camping outside swatch stores! eek

On the note of camping and availability I have friends out east that are watch collectors and they sent me this...

So unless someone is spoofing the swatch account... you can put your thermos back in the cupboard

The Moon watch wasn't launched in 1957.

I stay in Edinburgh but if they are expecting huge cues then sack that.

Are the first 'realises' anything special?

Nice idea and I'm an Omega fan. They do look cheap which I guess reflects the price. Thought the Earth edition sounded good but doesn't look great in the pictures imo.

It’s a pretty amazing thing to have made tbh.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anything like it before where two watch brands have come together like this to make a watch, branded by both.

Not overly keen on the strap but it would be easy to put a different nato or even any other strap you wanted on it. Presumably the case and lugs are the same as a normal speedy pro?

Amazing that an official omega nato is £145 and this entire watch plus strap is only £200 hehe incredible value.

Hopefully they’ll make loads of them and everyone who wants one can get one.

Just seen all of them. Didn’t like Saturn as much in the flesh. Still like Pluto.

Massive amount of buzz in the store. The woman said she’s been answering the same questions all day - guy next to me looking at them was wearing a very nice vintage tank.

I was all ready to go and stand outside a store first thing Saturday morning, but after doing a bit of reading on social media I'm not sure I will bother! Apparently people are planning on starting to queue tomorrow!

Various news articles are popping up online claiming these are "The hottest watches on the planet" and that there will be "queues around the block"... Worst of all, is this line "The watches are also expected to hold on to their value and make for cracking resale items" If that doesn't encourage as many scalpers/flippers as possible to queue up for them, I don't know what will.

I think they seem quite fun. I'm not going to go all the way to London and queue up for one, but if they're available online or locally at a later date when the fuss dies down, I'll probably get myself one or two of them.

Totally agree. It’ll be a great watch for kicking about in.

I’m planning on picking a couple of these up for my wife and I as something a bit fun to wear. She has a speedy 38 and I’ve got a PO and I don’t see any issue with these watches. They certainly won’t give that same premium feel as a proper moonwatch.

I’m in London on Saturday - might swing past Covent Garden and Carnaby. I’m definitely not doing any queueing up.

I’ll take any of the darker ones.

Love them! Hopefully in time I will have the Mercury and Moon versions.

Cheap, neat and useable.

If you honestly think this will damage sales of Omega, even in the slightest, then I don't really know what else to say!

I think you are mistaken, and both Omega and Swatch will get a massive buzz of promo out of this.

There are already people queuing at the London store, which is insane. I’ll probably head down early on Saturday here and chance my arm.

Earth looks much better in person.

The ‘queuing already’ is what has put me off! As I said earlier, I was 100% planning on getting myself to a store for 8am Saturday and waiting an hour or so.

I’ve never done the whole ‘queuing for a new product’ thing, so thought it might be vaguely fun.

But over the last few hours social media has gone completely nuts with thousands saying they are heading to the stores, and as you rightly say, queues are apparently forming already eek

Mental.

I mean, it’s great for Swatch, and good for them, but I won’t be joining the back of an endless queue on Saturday!

I’ll be waiting for the rush to die down, while keeping my fingers crossed that Swatch don’t promptly discontinue them after the initial sell out.

I’ll pick one up online in a couple of months once the hype has died down. Swatch have confirmed the watches will not be limited production or availability & will be available to buy online.
