I just though I should add an update, two years later than expected.

This afternoon, I collected my Omega and am very pleased. The retail price increased quite a bit in the last two years and I was kicking myself for not going for it before.

Anyway, quite unexpectedly a used one popped up locally so I went to view it and here we are....

Got to say, that looks flippin' fantastic.

I just started reading the thread, not realising it was 2 years old! I think my issue, for good or bad, is that I just can't not wear my Apple Watch most of the time now, it's just become my daily routine. I am pondering similar to you, with a special birthday coming up, do I add to my collection, or sell and upgrade. I think the upgrade makes sense, as I probably only wear a mechanical watch a few times a year now! It would seem silly to have multiple nice watches, where they'd probably only get worn once a year.

Hope you enjoy your lovely Speedy smile

Congrats, you made the right choice for sure.

I hate to think how much money I lost over the years playing the 'splitting' game when all I ever wanted was my first Rolex. I should have just saved up and got the one I wanted from the start.

I traded my collection in the other day and obviously took a bath on the Tudor, Omega and Tag I had collected over time that I now never wore.
