I'm wearing this, it's nice, but I'm not really kidding myself, a 16600 or 14060m is what I wish I'd bought back in the day. Given I sold the Hulk, yacht master and milguauss and only kept the 5 digit Explorer 2, I know I like the 'vintage' better than any 6 digit stuff. Saying that, I've always disliked integrated bracelet watches, but tried a Zenith Defy Skyline last weekend, so maybe something new on the horizon 😜 oh, and too much rum on a school night lol

Been spending my evenings making a console table/shelves for a hallway. The usual zombie army Armageddon watch is worn for this.

(Table is not yet finished, by the way - but being pleased with progress, I can't help posting some pics).

Hi

Before I bought one I thought my 1967 and 2011 Subs were by far my favourite watches but now I think the pre ceramic Pepsi is the height of horn, the novelty is still sky high and I wouldn’t mind a pre ceramic GMT 2 too

See, I like the ceramic Pepsi a lot. The bezel doesn't pop like the gorgeous example above, bit I am a big fan of its look, on a jubilee bracelet.

I can expect mine sometime in 2030+, I suspect. Seems I am not alone.

You can have one like the one above on a Jubilee too, it will just weigh about 75% less and make a charming rattle! :-)

My pre ceramic watches make me feel slightly uncomfortable about my ceramic bezel Rolexes, they feel quite clumsy and flash!

Better, yes but I’m not sure how much I care about better, the older ones give me more happiness!

The Air King sits aside to all of this stuff

Not mine but a 1675 on Jubilee

i have a modern ceramic batman on oyster, if it came to it the batman would be gone in a heartbeat, it's not even close, the 16700 is nicer in almost every way, i'm not keen on the ceramic BLRO as the colours look washed out compared to the aluminium bezels. all imo of course.

Snap, I’ve worn mine on a Sub bracelet but I’m now wondering whether I want to keep it!

I also have the all black bezel version that I bought in 2007 but it has particular sentimental value so it’s beyond looks etc a d isn’t going anywhere!

Hey, how are you?

If you get hold of all 3 bezel inserts and know how to change them, it’s the only watch you “need”

One of those and something borderline disposable, like an Apple watch……
