i have a modern ceramic batman on oyster, if it came to it the batman would be gone in a heartbeat, it's not even close, the 16700 is nicer in almost every way, i'm not keen on the ceramic BLRO as the colours look washed out compared to the aluminium bezels. all imo of course.

Do you wear that often? I see you still have the red section, rather than it pinking, if worn daily. I am told if worn regularly, dealers refer to them as "Tropical" I'll post mine in a sec
Not worn often by me, it's on original hand set and dial, had its only service just before purchase (by me) at rsc, light polish and replacement bezel.

Far be it for me to create a fashion faux pas but can a Blue denim watch be worn with Blue shoe laces??

Or is the risk of colour clash too great

Ignoring all the distracting faff around this watch, it’s such a great looking piece.
I was lucky enough to get my name down the day they were announced.

All those vintage Submariners are delightful!

Massively out of my price range, mind you, but one can dream. They’re so much much nicer than the modern ones.

I got as far as a vintage Dugena quartz dive watch for about €100, I swapped out the hazed crystal and it turned out ok. I only have one photo of it from the original sales picture.

I think that a WMT vintage diver is about as near as my budget will allow:

REvintage subs, I completely agree, I much prefer the 16700 gmt and the 5513 sub over both the modern equivalents in my collection.
