A simple 3 hander sometimes is all you need.

Such a classic looking piece, much nicer than an OP.

Possibly stupid question but why's the face at an angle? Assume it's for some purpose (driving?)

"The Longines A-7 “Avigation” was built around a mono-pusher chronograph movement produced by Longines and Meylan during the 1930s and is an immediately recognisable watch. The watch has a specific “tilted” dial, with the display rotated by 40 degrees – this odd angle was designed to make consulting the time easier without the pilot having to take his hands off the stick."

The original watch this is based on was produced by Longines for the American Air Corps back in the 30's.

Pilots would wear it on the inside of their wrist when flying so that they could read the time correctly without taking their hands off the controls.

I'm no pilot but the quirky face drew me to the watch.

Single pusher chronograph and that onion crown finish off the look nicely.

Works well to read off the time when driving too.

May I ask a mildly daft favour please, as my imagination has utterly failed me? Could you take a picture of it on your right wrist?

Thank you! I suspected it wouldn't work. I do like it though.

I really like the off set Longines.

Tried the Vacheron Historiques American recently and the off set face makes a surprising amount of sense when you're wearing it normally - anything you do where your hands are in front of you, like typing for example, and it's very legible.

Longines more in my budget though hehe

Ah assumed so. It's a lovely piece, I really like the font and dial.
