I do like that bubble OP, 36mm for me. 5800 CHF feels like a lot for an OP, I hadn't realised the RRP for those had crept so high.

I am rather impressed by the new Yachtmaster 42.

Perfect size for me and at £11,800 the price point isn’t too bad.
Isn't that just an engorged Submariner with a different bezel and made in Titanium? lol

Someone is going to have to explain to me how the Explorer 1 40mm is new, as I thought we had one of those a couple of years ago... (that was then discontinued? had the hands lengthened? or was that 39mm?) wobble

The YM has always had that relief bi directional bezel.

There was a 39mm Explorer, discontinued for the 36mm Explorer. The 40mm is an addition though, rather than replacing the current 36. It was awkwardly proportioned at 39mm I can't see it improving at 40. Too much dial.

But then people like the 41mm OP which is even more dial.

I don't know....you seem to get your hands on most of the hard to obtain!

I am going to request the Bubble 41 and the 41 RG skydweller with the blue green face...I just can't stop looking at the screenshots I have of them.

Fingers crossed!

I'm secretly hoping I will get at least one but didn't want to tempt fate...

The RG Sky Dweller is without doubt just stunning, probably my favourite release for 2023. I just wish I had a lifestyle that allowed me to fully utilise a watch like that lol. If I had one I suspect it would spend 99% of its life in a security box which would be such a waste of money.

I do hope you get one!

That RG Skydweller with the blue green dial is the one I’d get if I won the lottery. I think it looks great.

Hope you don’t have to wait too long!

I'm really disappointed frown The YM has grown too large for me, the Daytona is less elegantly proportioned, the bubbles legibility looks seriously compromised to make an insta-hit watch. Not a single release I'd buy to wear. But that black ceramic bezel on a 40mm YM in steel or titanium though and I'd be in like a shot. I sold my blue faced YM, but it was the best wearing 6 digit generation I owned given my skinny wrists, would like a rhodium dial one version one day, but I keep buying via the WOS website and that doesn't build dealership goodwill lol.

Apparently the new LV has a lighter green bezel, similar to the original non ceramic version.

The green bezel on the LV was a little dark for my tastes, I think the lighter version may well be more appealing.

I am trying to justify this watch at the moment by thinking 'it's just as risky to wear a steel Rolex as a gold one'.

I honestly from looking at it can't tell the difference between the old and new daytona. I've been googling a bit for a side by side which is done with clever images to make them the same size/scale and then overlap to show differences in a kind of see through way but alas, nobody I can see has made such and I'm far too dumb/lazy to try.

I suppose there is some truth in that lol. If I had a more sophisticated lifestyle I'd seriously consider it. But I'm at work, on the school run, in a local pub much more often than I'm anywhere swanky enough to justify that watch. I could save it for family/friend gatherings, weddings etc but seems a waste.

If I had deeper pockets I'd buy it just to own it. For the cost of that watch I could buy the bubble, YM42 and the green Sky Dweller which would make for a very diverse collection that I could actually use....not that I will get all three and no guarantee of even one.

The metal lip around the bezel is the biggest visual change. Sub dials are also smaller
