I've bought dozens of watch straps from AliExpress, I've not yet been disappointed. £2 for the exact same thing that's on Amazon (or elsewhere) for £14.95 (it's where the Amazon/elsewhere seller got it in the first place). Start to spend big money, like a tenner, and the quality is amazing. Quick release, deployment, lovely!

If you're prepared to wait 6 months the Studio Underd0g Steffany Blue might be of interest. Not cheap cheap but cheaper than the Tissot PRX automatic.

This popped up on my social media the other day.

https://www.crownwatchblog.com/orient-star-article...

All the colours, including the light blue looks great! I had a Bambino years ago which I accidentally dropped going through the airport and ended up not working. Was a shame as it was a lovely watch and actually brought me quite a bit of joy wearing, but it had no sentimental value and the cost of repair was more than buying a new one.

Would be pretty tempted by one of these if I wasn't already waiting for a call for a Tiffany Dial. I also did pull the trigger on the last Underd0g Drop which I'm hoping will scratch all itches until I get the Tiffany.

I ended up going for the Tissot PRX. The Casio was tempting but saw people mention the bracelet was a hair ripper.

I haven't worn the Tissot for any period of time, but the bracelet feels a bit sharp on the edges. I may change out the strap for something different - maybe a bright blue rubber one off Aliexpress hehe

Nice, great choice smile
Check the bracelet under a loupe or magnifying glass. They have tiny, tiny plastic stickers on part of the bracelet, which you cannot see easily with the naked eye. I thought mine was uncomfortable, until I found some plastic that I had missed. Now it is amazingly comfortable.

Actually a really good shout! smile

I thought I got them all at first. But I just took a closer look now and felt a plastic finish and got peeling. Haven't worn the watch today but will see later if it makes any difference in comfort.

My son has a PRX too, which he has had for two years, and the sharp vision of youth. He was still picking off microscopic pieces of plastic film last month.

I am massively impressed with the PRX, It moves the game on in terms of what is possible in a relatively modestly priced automatic watch (mine is the Powermatic 80). Those little plastic protection stickers that are irritating your wrist are an example of the attention to detail.

I last set mine on 1 December last year and it is currently running at +2 seconds. Not per day, 2 seconds over the entire three months! On one occasion I left it off for a week and it wan 88 hours before it stopped.

I quite like Tissot. I bought one about ten years ago and use it as my spannering, gardening, work knockabout, so it's a bit battered. It just works and keeps decent time. Not quite a Tiffany but similar. It's an Asian market Inchoen Asian Games limited edition of some sort.

I did notice an improvement in comfort, so it was a good tip to look for the plastic bits thumbup

My other watch is a Rolex (which admittedly could do with a service), but it loses large chunks of time over the week and doesn't do well if it's not worn at least every few days. It's one reason I went for a Quartz movement instead of paying an additional £200-300 for an automatic Tissot.
