She quite likes quirky so those Vostoks are a really good shout.

I'm sorry jimbobs I don't know too much about watches so I can't add anything useful. I do want to ask why 50m is an issue though if you're not going diving. I have my basic openwater padi I wear a garmin never had an issue. 200m does sound better though!

Swatch say their watches are ok for swimming they’re only 30m wr, I have a 50m rated watch and the manufacturer states it is ok for snorkelling.

The point is that 50m doesn't mean a watch will withstand 5 atm. And so on.

A triathlon watch 'rated' to 50m is either rated to more than 50m or it isn't a triathlon watch.
