Hi Guys,

My sister has been left a nice Black Tag Monaco by here husband who has passed away. She has been offered £500-£600 for it.

The watch is perfect with all the paperwork, box and original receipt and is 5 years old. Her husband was a pilot and also left a Rolex and Brietliner which she is keeping for the kids so the watch has not had a great deal of wear. I think it's worth more can anyone advise!! I think it's value would be around £1k possibly more??

personally i don't think you will get £1k, due to its age. your offer isn't far off, £700 at a push. i may be wrong though, good luck.

$yrs ago I paid £1600 cash at a high st jeweler for a new Monaco. The "retail" was c£2100 at the time.
This suggests that a dealer in used watches will offer yours for sale at £1000 to £1100. Thus their desire to pay £600 for it.

Should prob fetch £725 or so on Fleabay

You can get a brand new one delivered to you for £1100 so £600 seems about fair.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know the watch has now been sold for £700 to a private buyer. Bit more than the £500 offered from a dealer/chancer!!

Thanks to all those who enquired.
